Spring Fresh.

A fresh, poppy-hued shirtdress is a fine way to kick your winter doldrums to the curb.
This bright shirtdress by Fishy Strawberry was the perf way to Spring up my mood today, which I accented with black and gold tones in the form of this new birds-printed round satchel (soon to be found at the new round of Shiny Shabby), which I paired with some new gold-toned & rose crystal jewelry by The Plastik + this casually tousled, chin-lenth strawberry blonde 'do (another Collabor88 find). -- Btw I must add, even if you own oodles of Glam skins, this "Katra" skin at Skin Fair 2015 is most def worth a demo; I found this pink-toned eyeshadow + lips combo to be tres high fashion + these bow-shaped lips in particular were so sultry.

My old friend Aikea Rieko of The Plastik is debuting a new line of skins at Skin Fair 2015, which come with painted/battle-themed/smokey eyeshadowed makeups (and these scrumptious frex) that invite a touch o' fantasy (i.e., a fine time to trot out the ol' jewel-encrusted crowns, hehe). This queenly, long side-braid hair by Truth, a regal off-the-shoulder dress by Teefy + some new chunky white & gold dangly earrings by Indyra completed this look.

Creator Aikea Rieko of The Plastik is debuting some beautiful strapless dresses for Spring, framing an hourglass figure with her trademark detailed prints and naughty corset-like ribbons, wrapped around the torso for a li'l extra feminine waist-cinching.
Aikea is more typically known for her combination of rich, dark palettes and fantasy touches; however as this image shows, Aikea proves just as agile at whipping up fresh, vibrant colors that are perfect for Springtime glam. I thought this dress worked so nicely with this new side braided, double-cord headband "Elyse" style by Truth; some triple-tone feathers earrings, a wrapped leather-corded gem necklace + some pastel-toned colorblocked bangles completed this new Native look.

Did you know that baby unicorns awaken in the middle of the night? I caught this one with its mama the other night. Primary colors are such a sprightly way to cheer up winter.
This one's for the frugalistas, since nearly everything (except this poufy crown, color-change headband "Cece" pony hair by Truth + ice blue Ikon eyes) are gifties. The Sheep Door lucky board yielded this free Crayola-hued coat, shirt + tie set; I couldn't decide which free bag worked best, so I'm showing you 2 new ones that I scoopied this week, including this white-trimmed, white-puppied red leather bowling bag on Marketplace. The whimsical reverse cow-udder hat, rhinestone cross-studded platform boots + electric blue nails will set you back all of $0L; and this ruby-lipped skin is the latest Belleza (paid group) gift, lending an innocent, fresh-faced beauty to your (hopefully naughty) holidays.
Ice cream floats + a paper snail? As if Add9 creator Canue Glazner could conjure any more useless, uber-cute stuff that we (of course) must have! Free as well, at the crammed with tchotchkes, photog-worthy Cafe Cherbourg.

Urban Minimalism.

So here's what's up with these new wide-leg mesh pants by Boom: the buttie jiggles. Creator Aranel Ah has cleverly rigged the rear area to move with your avi, so once you slip these on + walk, you may just find yourself utterly, fascinatingly, eyes-glued-to-the-screen mesmerized by -- your own ass. A fun yet supersmex idea, if you ask me!
The rest of this look combines this wide pant leg with a draped 1-shoulder top for a minimal yet romantic look, built in shades of gray and black. The newest full-body tat by The Plastik offered the primary bodily adornment; a parted-lips gloss by Pididdle added a subtle petal color.

When I picked up the new free baby shark at d-lab, I had no idea it had so many friends. -- Or how sorely they were in need of some flippin' house training.

Sultry Summer.

A lusciously thick eyeliner, a pert button nose + plump-but-natural lips are what Pink Fuel creator Mochi Milena has debuted in her long-awaited new "Alena" skin. I'm showing 2 makeups here: the crimson-lipped, cat-eyed "Classic" + the smokey eyed, nude-lipped "Scene" (my personal fave).
This skin paired so beautifully with this week's newest styles by Truth (all bangless + all fierce): check the long locks tumbling over the eye in this "Tashia" style (shown above in blonde, with roots); the elegant over-the-shoulder "Jodie" (shown here in red; this cat-eyed skin accentuated the feline slinkiness of the 'do) + the tousled, wavy shoulder-length "Roma," featuring a color-change scarf headband (some chilled tofu was a yummy snack). -- The Truth store has been mobbed for the newest free hair gift; you can see that lovely side pony style on my post for FreeStyle here).
I also had to show you this Bardot-like "Kirby" updo from Truth last week (think superpouffe!), which I paired with a look that I also love in RL: putting platform heels (yellow patent T-straps here; but any would work) together with shorter, knee-length cargo pants (these here also happen to be free).

Summer Prep.

Despite drowning in RL this week, I had to show you some of this week's fabbiest new hairs, including this impeccably elegant "Alessandra" updo by Truth (check out the gorges intricate, dainty braid woven directly into the crown!), the Skittles-like "swirls" longer style by Ploom (I added a li'l pink tiara action) + this simple yet chic longer bangs "Ebony" style by Truth, which I couldn't help but embellish with a few black ribbon florettes. A new revolver-stenciled mesh top by The Plastik gave some edge to this demure new skirt by u.f.o. + this color-change, double-stone pendant by Indyra Originals + a roughed-up new tat by Vega -- all of which felt perfect with this latest smex "Cassie" skin by The Sugar Garden (shown in 2 tones here; superplump lips peeps, this is the skin for you).
It's getting warmer and warmer here (i.e., high time for my tres lazie self to hit the gym today). Summer prep love + fashionista kisses to all!

If you still haven't picked up this week's lusciously long, ridic smex "Tahnee" bedroom hair by Truth, well, I guess I've failed to impart any meaningful advice of a SLexy nature. Heh.
I'm showing the "Tahnee 2" bangs version above; the blonde hair below is the other new Truth style this week, the tres glam mesh "Felecia" updo, featuring a beautifully knotted piece that trails delicately down the back.
These new pants by The Plastik are also mesh, showcasing creator Aikea Rieko's usual meticulous texturing work; I'm diggin' these scrumptiously teeny tiny stripes on the "Jester" pattern here, which I paired with rich coral hues (shoes, belt, bag & top) + a free smart tablet by Kal Rau (speaking of digi-gear, anyone into cyber styles should also check out the "Pattern 2" pack of these mesh pants for some absolutely killer bias-cut slits on the upper thighs).
