And speaking of sweater & boots weather, The Seasons Story is celebrating its 1-year autumn anniversary and the SIM is such an idyllic, pulled-straight-from-an-autumnal-dream place to wander around; you can also scoopie ample free gifts (just look for the gift boxes with the 3 pink heart balloons, at nearly every booth); + also scratch that ever-so-evil gatcha itch. -- I so enjoyed all the rich details so lovingly baked into this build -- from the sunlit-flooded wooden bridge paths, to the abandoned rail cars dotting all the pretty fall foilage -- and for the scenery alone (not to mention the high-quality freebies), it's most def worth a look-see. If you have the time, I strongly recommend popping into the main landing point here + enjoying a lovely wander.

Catnapped.

Creator Apple Fall is debuting some lovely new "modern rustic" furnishings to go with the patriotic tides of high summer, including some American flag-printed items, hanging thumbtacked hearts and aged wood bookcases and book-filled side consoles. I also love Apple's latest sea cottage-themed pieces like this shiny steel-capped, glass-enclosed starfish lantern, complete with resting metal handle (how pretty would this look perched atop any desk or kitchen table)? I also couldn't resist showing you this new whimsical chicken (!) by Le Poppycock (this feathery bird is actually part of a recent pose set, but it's so prettily done that it easily works as a standalone home decor item). A furry dozing kitty (recently free, not sure if it still is) plus other pretty trinkets -- I'm particularly enamored of this framed wolf sketch, and the mini-stack of books with the coral sitting daintily on top -- satisfied my tchotchke cravings for today. -- Ahhh, the genuine countryside! Someday this city girl will get to see you in person, hehe.

Black Amber.

Golden + burnt tones, punctuated with just a touch of crimson, can glam up even the dingiest of subway tunnels.
I'm showing the latest "Cassia" skin by Glam Affair, which I'm loving for its just-right touch of knowingness to this lush, polished face; skin connoisseurs will note that the accompanying lipstick set made especially for this skin is 1 of the most complete Glam Affair lipstick sets to date, ranging from subtle mauves and pinks to this exceptional fire-engine red I'm showing here (btw if you haven't yet hit the $15L World Cup hunt at Ricielli, you must scoopie the gold belted + gold studded black leather pants there for $15L -- easily my vote for best steal of the week, I believe it's the #11 soccer ball). Casual Spring by Maitreya.

Maitreya creator Onyx LeShelle's new Spring 2014 collection is just the way I like to go casual: half-tucked comfy T-shirts, belted cropped pants + slouchy jeans, form-fitted where it counts (check the waist + buttie areas); all featuring Onyx's signature impeccably detailed shading + above all, the clean, unembellished strokes of a confident designer who isn't afraid to keep these dressed-down separates unassumingly simple.
And if you haven't yet seen them, Onyx's new uber-sophisticated Gold "Laud" ankle boots are both peeptoe and peepheel, revealing just a sliver of skin at both the front + the backs of the feet. In a super convenient move, these come both Slink-ready + standalone; plus I always appreciate how easy the Maitreya HUDs are to use (and as HUDs go, these are surely 1 of the sleekest-looking ones around). -- Btw pay no attention to this shy hamster, who was just dying to get into this shot; something about having shot Onyx with his li'l Cupid arrows around Valentine's Day (+ he's apparently been waiting to see some results already). It's possible it was his choice of message, hehe.

Ricielli Spring.

Creator Fhara Acacia's new Springtime 2014 collection for her iconic Ricielli brand features her signature fresh color palette (both prints & solids), in the form of fun, mix 'n match separates that are so perfect for the season's warmer climes.
As to be expected with Ricielli releases, it's all about the li'l extras: look for double angled zippers (yum!); scrumptious plays on texture (quilted vs smooth leathers, as just 1 example); and plays between form-fitted + loose draping that are so fun to play with when styling looks. Fhara is also offering the newest "fitted meshes," which you can see by enabling the "Advanced Lighting Model" (under "Develop" + "Rendering," if you use Firestorm). -- See how nicely these fitted meshes hug the buttie area? Tres helpful when you've got bear cubs trying to distract you (+ you can't fix a wedgie, hehe).
And here's a better look at this 1-piece from Ricielli; the wide belted look with the shortie loose shorts make our avis look so long-legged, no? -- Btw it's hard work lifting your leg whilst posing in a fairy forest! Pinkie Girl.

My 2 Pegasus friends, Hanky & Panky, decided to play a li'l trick on me today: they promised to take me flying, but only if I colormatched their pink wings + blue manes first. -- Now pink + blue hair wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but zooming thru the pink clouds -- 'specially under a magical moon -- was tres worth it. Plus with the Truth color HUDs, anyone can change hair colors in a snap! So there, devious magical flying horses. Hehe.
This month's Collabor88 is throwing down the supergirlie theme of "Watercolors in Bloom," so naturally, taking a countryside stroll thru some relaxing pastel tones was in order.
