Silver Foxette.

I couldn't resist strolling thru an Italian piazza today, which felt 'specially comfy in this casual new jersey dress by Maitreya + some pretty new silver-toned accessories that you can scoopie at the latest round of Collabor88.

The rich themes at Collabor88 are so much fun each month (this month: "Miami Electric!") that I deliberately wanted to style a more neutral-toned look, to demonstrate just how versatile this monthly event can be (which btw still remains 1 of the best shopping events on the grid). The dark teal nails are a $5L giftie (see the Styling Credits below), courtesy of a fabby nail hunt for SLink hands (how fun is that)! + my sparkly strawberry bubblegum comes in all sorts of fun colors (another Collabor88 find). -- Speaking of which, when was the last time you blew a bubble? Nyx, goddess of night, daughter of Khaos and mother to many other deities, spurned daylight in favor of the moon's cooling rays. Older and more powerful than Zeus (who deferred to her wishes), Nyx could be either mankind's friend or foe, and could bring either sleep or death. -- The lady also practically invented smokey eyeliner, hehe.
Even the irresistible Cupid tried to woo the mighty Nyx. But she tricked him and left a basset hound in her place (gods have a strange sense of humor). This month has been tres fun playing with all the Homeric elements at Collabor88's bday celebration. Get ready, 'cuz The Arcade is coming very soon!

Bacon, Bacon, Who's Got the Bacon?

The only peril that I can see of hosting a good old-fashioned bacon hunt is that your bed will inevitably smell like jambon. Luckily, this is not so much of a problem for those of us who are bacon-inclined to begin with.
These brand-new ceramic puggies, wooden pallet-headboard bed + metal-wrought chair are brand-new by Apple Fall; as pretty as these home furnishings are, they primarily served as a comfy spot for these li'l dudes to have just a grand ol' time. -- I myself was pleasantly surprised that there was zero tooting happening today with this exercise, but I suppose that's part of the thinking behind only having one slice to find. Hehe.

Hair Fair 2014: Tossed & Rumpled.

One of my favorite charity shopping events of the year, Hair Fair 2014, kicks off today with oodles of shiny new things for your avi's tresses. Proceeds from every single sale at this worthy event will benefit Wigs For Kids, so it's a truly rewarding way to spend your hard-earned $L.

I am showing a glorious riot o' curls new by Milana for this special event: this rumpled jumble of fat, tumbling locks, tossed so artfully atop the head, struck me as such a sophisticated, smex-kitten alternative to updos (or for any other time you wish to freely display your avi's shoulders & bustline). The fully flopped-over section covering 1 of the eyes lends a dramatic peek-a-boo look; and as always, the Milana colors are notably rich + saturated (in particular, I always find creator Asuka Martin's browns to be some of the nicest anywhere, with lusciously-done highlights + lowlights). -- This tawny color palette was also simply perf to show you more of the safari-friendly styles at this month's Collabor88: these bold, sculpturesque tiger & elephant head cuffs by Yummy worked so well with this simple bowtied romper, and these utterly delish Peter-Pan collar (!) & buckle sandals have the added benefit of masking any color tinting seams on the SLink ankle area (particularly good for those of us who always forget to add the color blending layers, hehe).

This silvery look incorporates soft deer browns + just a hint of pinks; a  pretty, heavy bangs long hairstyle softened up this look. -- Plus check out this blingy diamond jewelry by Yummy.
