Listen, not many places will let you walk your pet panda around during the daytime, but the Gugg will. Something about the swirly staircase apparently just mesmerizes everyone inside, so nobody pays any attention whatsoevs to a mischievous li'l panda who likes to dance around on his leash. -- Which was tres lucky for moi, since our only other choice was Petsmart + let's just say we may have had a teensy incident (of a Le Doody-type nature) there last time, hehe.

Sometimes a single everyday accessory can totally transform your look, and I can't really pinpoint what it is about these oversized sunglasses by Rowne (an Arcade find) that I luhs so much: maybe it's the half-dark, half-shiny reflection of these opaque lenses, shaded just-so; or perhaps it's the just barely-cat's-eye-but-still-rounded frames shape, tipped on the edges with brassy gold + perfectly sized to cover most of the face. -- In any case, these incognito-enabling shades are most def my accessory of choice whilst I scour the gatcha yard sales like a big ol' inventory troll. -- Btw if anybody wants to trade that !@#$* strawberry pie by B.C.C. at The Arcade, for the love of God, please IM me.

Nyx, goddess of night, daughter of Khaos and mother to many other deities, spurned daylight in favor of the moon's cooling rays. Older and more powerful than Zeus (who deferred to her wishes), Nyx could be either mankind's friend or foe, and could bring either sleep or death. -- The lady also practically invented smokey eyeliner, hehe.
Even the irresistible Cupid tried to woo the mighty Nyx. But she tricked him and left a basset hound in her place (gods have a strange sense of humor). It's 1 of the best times all year to go shopping on the grid, meaning the wooly mammoth-sized bounty of fashionista riches awaiting you at Collabor88's annual birthday festival, where 2x (or is it 3x?) the amount of regular designers are invited to show their best new wares. From Maitreya to Mandala, Teefy to Glam Affair, this annual gathering of the grid's A-list creators is simply bursting with pretty things for the scooping. -- I also happen to think that this round's "Odyessy" theme is particularly brilliant -- calling out to the wanderer in all of us, especially during this high summer season of travel and roaming -- a theme which many of the C88 designers have interpreted to be all kinds of godddess pretty. I paired this elegant wraparound toga-esque dress by Teefy with some superluxe new gold jewelry by Mandala (fans bracelets, adorned with gems? Diamond-encrusted watches? O yes!) and also this brand-new "Artemis" skin by Glam Affair, featuring an unmistakeably ingenue pout + a versatile palette of makeups, ranging from the natural to the painbox colored (I particularly liked the "04" I'm wearing here, featuring this modern pink-brown lipstain).

Endless Plains.

Collabor88 goes on safari this month, meaning oodles of riches in warm earth tones, gold metals & muted emerald and cerise jewel tones. This uber-glam color palette (one that is btw flattering on almost every skin tone) inspired me to ask my baby giraffe friends here to come join me whilst I trekked thru these bare, endless plains. -- Turns out that these frisky li'l girlie giraffes only had 1 thing on the brain: meeting other boy giraffes. Just check 'em out shamelessly scoping out the scene here. Kids today!

Native Spring.

Creator Aikea Rieko of The Plastik is debuting some beautiful strapless dresses for Spring, framing an hourglass figure with her trademark detailed prints and naughty corset-like ribbons, wrapped around the torso for a li'l extra feminine waist-cinching.
Aikea is more typically known for her combination of rich, dark palettes and fantasy touches; however as this image shows, Aikea proves just as agile at whipping up fresh, vibrant colors that are perfect for Springtime glam. I thought this dress worked so nicely with this new side braided, double-cord headband "Elyse" style by Truth; some triple-tone feathers earrings, a wrapped leather-corded gem necklace + some pastel-toned colorblocked bangles completed this new Native look.

Sultry Summer.

A lusciously thick eyeliner, a pert button nose + plump-but-natural lips are what Pink Fuel creator Mochi Milena has debuted in her long-awaited new "Alena" skin. I'm showing 2 makeups here: the crimson-lipped, cat-eyed "Classic" + the smokey eyed, nude-lipped "Scene" (my personal fave).
This skin paired so beautifully with this week's newest styles by Truth (all bangless + all fierce): check the long locks tumbling over the eye in this "Tashia" style (shown above in blonde, with roots); the elegant over-the-shoulder "Jodie" (shown here in red; this cat-eyed skin accentuated the feline slinkiness of the 'do) + the tousled, wavy shoulder-length "Roma," featuring a color-change scarf headband (some chilled tofu was a yummy snack). -- The Truth store has been mobbed for the newest free hair gift; you can see that lovely side pony style on my post for FreeStyle here).
I also had to show you this Bardot-like "Kirby" updo from Truth last week (think superpouffe!), which I paired with a look that I also love in RL: putting platform heels (yellow patent T-straps here; but any would work) together with shorter, knee-length cargo pants (these here also happen to be free).

Shopping Is The New Cardio.

RL has been kickin' arse + takin' names, but I had to show mah fellow shopperistas some new releases that are making my styling heart sing this week: these candy-colored, pastel-dipped skinny jeans new by Maitreya (i.e., creator Onyx LeShelle embracing her enduring love affair with color; my fave is this delectable strawberry Pocky hue); 2 new releases by Truth, featuring your choice of the shoulder-swept, lusciously pouffed "Anastasia" + a longer, meshy, no-bangs "Cassie" style (which I think looks so elegant in gray tones); + finally, for anyone like moi attempting to get bikini-ready in RL, some new dumbbell poses by Ploom (pink dumbbells!) that were way too cute to resist. -- Turns out that everybody was in a workout kind o' mood.
And here we see my new panda friend showing off his fancy new method of "mouth yoga." -- Me, I was boring + just stuck to weights. Heh.
