It can be challenging to find a natural-looking frex skin inworld, which is why I was so excited to see this fresh, youthful "Luna" freckled face by Glam Affair (another Collabor88 find).
The pert nose & full lips add a touch of insouciance to this otherwise innocent face; i.e., a great face to slip on when you're trying to get away with something, hehe. A burnt orange trench by Emery & this loose, draped, multi-braided "Verinne" hair new by Truth added a touch of ginger zest to this modern boho look.

The newest round of Collabor88 has the dewy-eyed theme of "Into The Light," which most of the creators have interpreted as soft, muted colors, modern draping and a touch of girlish whimsy.
Check out the meticulous details that creator Marie Lauridsen has packed into her modern 2-piece dress for Milk Motion: a petite, folded collar tucks like demure petals just above the collarbone; the bust area drapes flatteringly around the waist, anchored by bars of modern gold hardware; while an asymmetrical bias of the skirt adds just a touch of seductiveness to this clean, modern style. A new fresh-faced frex skin by Glam Affair, sideways-tilted bun & these bowtie Mary Janes finished this feminine, yet decidedly avant-garde, look.

When the universe is stressing you out, having a cozy nook of one's own (stocked with all the essentials) is tres necessary for some good ol' fashioned peace & quiet.
This comfy retreat combines some lovely new home decor items from Shiny Shabby (how inviting is this church steeple space?) together with the oodles of gifties that are yours for the free taking on the Wayward Hunt. -- I must also add that the notably superior quality of prizes on this hunt make the effort well worth it, even for the most jaded SL hunters; also, since it seems like half the grid is out & about doing this particular hunt (all the stores I visited had quite a few hunters camming around), this is an easy way to get out of one's photo studio + actually meet some new peeps ('specially since some of the hunt items can require a group effort to find). -- This well-organized hunt is courtesy of the former Zombie Popcorn (i.e., veteran hunt organizer) folks; see here for a handy list of hints + prizes.

I Want My MTV.

Hopefully y'all are all caught up on the ratings-shattering TV phenom that was Empire's debut season (I just binge-watched the entire thing). That complete-with-smoke-machine cover of the original Dire Straights track was so utterly entertaining to watch (mostly 'cuz it showed old geezers gleefully rockin' out to the show's commercial hip-hop rendition of it), which seemed like a fitting segueway to the brand-new round that just opened at Collabor88, which similarly takes its theme from a classic '80s flick and punks it up a bit for a fun stylistic throwback today.
Now admittedly, the only stylistic misfits here are these thin, strappy, much more 2015 than the '80s stiletto sandals by Hucci, but I just couldn't resist their sleek, mile-high 'tude -- so I kept them on, hehe.

Apple Fall is debuting some rustic cafe items at Shiny Shabby, including this utterly lovely cordial bottle & tin mugs set (and check out this unique screwtop table). I also wanted to show you this exceptionally pretty seated pose new by SLexy's longtime friend Journey Lorakeet (her "Vibe" poses brand is one to watch, offering strong, unique angles for us photogs). A fresh, poppy-hued shirtdress is a fine way to kick your winter doldrums to the curb.
This bright shirtdress by Fishy Strawberry was the perf way to Spring up my mood today, which I accented with black and gold tones in the form of this new birds-printed round satchel (soon to be found at the new round of Shiny Shabby), which I paired with some new gold-toned & rose crystal jewelry by The Plastik + this casually tousled, chin-lenth strawberry blonde 'do (another Collabor88 find). -- Btw I must add, even if you own oodles of Glam skins, this "Katra" skin at Skin Fair 2015 is most def worth a demo; I found this pink-toned eyeshadow + lips combo to be tres high fashion + these bow-shaped lips in particular were so sultry.
