Chilly fall weather in RL means dreaming of warm, technicolor Cali sunsets in SL.

2 new smex hairs, a feathers headband + the brand-new, softly dollfaced, lush-lipped "Angelica" skin by Glam Affair (which has recently re-opened its doors, featuring their sister brand Tableau Vivant now in the same location) made my dreams of sunnier days a snap. -- Plus were you aware that feather headbands are currently en vogue for Harley princesses? Well, now you know.

Summer Prep.

Despite drowning in RL this week, I had to show you some of this week's fabbiest new hairs, including this impeccably elegant "Alessandra" updo by Truth (check out the gorges intricate, dainty braid woven directly into the crown!), the Skittles-like "swirls" longer style by Ploom (I added a li'l pink tiara action) + this simple yet chic longer bangs "Ebony" style by Truth, which I couldn't help but embellish with a few black ribbon florettes. A new revolver-stenciled mesh top by The Plastik gave some edge to this demure new skirt by u.f.o. + this color-change, double-stone pendant by Indyra Originals + a roughed-up new tat by Vega -- all of which felt perfect with this latest smex "Cassie" skin by The Sugar Garden (shown in 2 tones here; superplump lips peeps, this is the skin for you).
It's getting warmer and warmer here (i.e., high time for my tres lazie self to hit the gym today). Summer prep love + fashionista kisses to all!

Snapshots from the Grid: Happy Mood.

The old Happy Mood build was 1 of the most original on the grid (that giant grassy island was so lonely + fantastic, with all the hidden secrets tucked deep inside) so I was curious how the new SIM redo would stack up. My video card protested, and IMs suffered, but it was sooo worth it: lush, springtime forests came alive thru hidden clearings, quiet woodland creatures + a gnarled vine swing nestled prettily amidst the branches. The feel of the place is downright magical; a simple stroll thru these densely landscaped woods is all it takes to rustle up vibrant scenes from your favorite picture books, no longer buried away in your childhood memories.
This is also the perfect spot for photogs to experiment with Windlight; there's tons of light here, so you'll get striking results simply by playing with settings. Fairy shots would be such a 'natch in these woods!
Too many pearls, a pink wrap dress by SLexy's own Cate Ying + 1 of my fave Truth hairs to date, the retro side swirl "Faith" style, inspired this Pandora look today.
I also made friends with Bubba, king of the forest bunnehs. He was cool, but he ate too many peanut butter & banana sandwiches (hence his enormous girth). It was his one regret in life, hehe.
