Silver Foxette.

I couldn't resist strolling thru an Italian piazza today, which felt 'specially comfy in this casual new jersey dress by Maitreya + some pretty new silver-toned accessories that you can scoopie at the latest round of Collabor88.

The rich themes at Collabor88 are so much fun each month (this month: "Miami Electric!") that I deliberately wanted to style a more neutral-toned look, to demonstrate just how versatile this monthly event can be (which btw still remains 1 of the best shopping events on the grid). I wanted to tell all our dear readers that 1 of our SLexy blogger family members, Mpenziwe Jansma, has a stunning new travel blog with some of the finest SL landscapes photography that you will see anywhere. Those of you who remember Mpenziwe's posts here will recall her thick, moody atmospheres, so deeply imbued with feeling; it's impossible not to be moved by these crisp, richly-detailed shots, well-steeped in light and shadow play. Creator Aikea Rieko of The Plastik is debuting some beautiful strapless dresses for Spring, framing an hourglass figure with her trademark detailed prints and naughty corset-like ribbons, wrapped around the torso for a li'l extra feminine waist-cinching.
Aikea is more typically known for her combination of rich, dark palettes and fantasy touches; however as this image shows, Aikea proves just as agile at whipping up fresh, vibrant colors that are perfect for Springtime glam. I thought this dress worked so nicely with this new side braided, double-cord headband "Elyse" style by Truth; some triple-tone feathers earrings, a wrapped leather-corded gem necklace + some pastel-toned colorblocked bangles completed this new Native look.

Casual Spring by Maitreya.

Maitreya creator Onyx LeShelle's new Spring 2014 collection is just the way I like to go casual: half-tucked comfy T-shirts, belted cropped pants + slouchy jeans, form-fitted where it counts (check the waist + buttie areas); all featuring Onyx's signature impeccably detailed shading + above all, the clean, unembellished strokes of a confident designer who isn't afraid to keep these dressed-down separates unassumingly simple.
And if you haven't yet seen them, Onyx's new uber-sophisticated Gold "Laud" ankle boots are both peeptoe and peepheel, revealing just a sliver of skin at both the front + the backs of the feet. In a super convenient move, these come both Slink-ready + standalone; plus I always appreciate how easy the Maitreya HUDs are to use (and as HUDs go, these are surely 1 of the sleekest-looking ones around). -- Btw pay no attention to this shy hamster, who was just dying to get into this shot; something about having shot Onyx with his li'l Cupid arrows around Valentine's Day (+ he's apparently been waiting to see some results already). En Provence.

This month's "Watercolors In Bloom" theme at Collabor88 is turning out to be way fun: I couldn't resist taking yet another pastoral stroll today, this time in this gorges 1-piece dress featuring a muted floral print (which truly looks like a wearable canvas, I might add), impeccably done by Maitreya. Some paintbox lavendar + sea green rose charm necklaces by Yummy, a free woven rattan bag + the newest shoulder-length "April" style by Truth (complete with a regal braid adorning the crown + even a color-change bird clip!) made my countryside mood complete.
And in other news, hi-drama, feathery lashes are just the thing to make a girl runway-ready.
Many moons ago, I spent some time living in the French countryside, so it's always nice to go "home," even if purely in style (I still dream about cassis glace. . . . Mmmm).

Lunar Landing.

The beloved readers of this blog already know that I rarely do white hair, but hey, you gotta figure all that zero-gravity stuff is simply murder on one's natural organic hair color treatments. Hehe.
My lunar landing today was inspired by this month's "Supernova" theme at Collabor88: and what an intergalatic ensemble it is, from naughty space-age dresses (like this plastic-strapped one by Faenzo that I'm wearing here) to oversized gems + industrial metal tones in accessories. -- Plus again with the hair, this new "Tyr" style's pinup-girl flyaway extensions -- oh-so-gently curling about the face -- are so so smex, no? I thought color streaks were such a must with this style; luckily there's many pretty choices (along with roots options) in the Truth HUD. -- Btw these astro-piggies were such sweet moon buddies; they promised to catch me my very own star too, just as soon as my rocket went off.

Mellow Yellow.

Amidst utterly drowning in RL (launching a new RL jewelry brand, y'all!), I had to pop in to show you some of this month's must-haves from The Arcade and Collabor88, both of which are bursting at the seams with brand-new yummies. -- And Maitreya at C88? O yes fashionistas, you'll not want to miss creator Onyx LeShelle's rare appearance at this event -- and make sure to grab her strikingly new mod-styled, geometric-paneled leggings as well, which I thought paired swimmingly with this new tri-paneled, hearts-printed skirt + sweater set by Teefy + the latest jangly golden hearts jewelry by Maxi Gossamer. -- Btw this dreamy, utterly ingenue skin (swept with a hint o' glam -- check out this under-the-eye-rimmed, metallic bronze eyeshadow -- so so runway!) + beautifully severe, straight-across bangs hair by Baiastice (along with this meticulously detailed, wooden-paneled, golden winged angel figurine, which decided to grace my shoulder today) -- are all gatcha prizes that you can claim at The Arcade + are such finds for their megawatt couture power.

City Chrome.

Winter chills mean that it's finally hat, scarf + double-breasted wool coat weather.

And since I own over a dozen hats in RL (that I can now gleefully begin trucking out again for fall/winter), this happily reminded me that there's nothing like a close-rimmed hat to highlight the eyes. This latest "Juniper" hat hair by Truth (luhs the vintage bell-shaped dome + wide side bow accent) helped show off these brand-new "Perspective" eyes by Ikon, which are richly packed with realistic multi-toned hues, and bursting with not-too-shiny life. I also love that the pupil hides something that I admittedly might have possibly imagined: a tiny scene of reflected tree + horizoned sunlight, which you can only see if you look really closely. (Or maybe I just had too much coffee as I was editing this, hehe).

Silver Linings.

You can never have enough heels, especially the razor-thin stilettos kind.
Baiastice creator Sissy Pessoa's newest snakeskin stilettos come with oodles of texture-change sock options. Usually one for punched-up color, I was immediately drawn to this muted, soft silvery tone (which I found tres elegant with these teensy black polka-dotted socks).
All this silver landed me squarely in a retro Hollywood glam mood, so I dressed it up with some trailing diamond jewels, the latest sideswept "Caprice" updo by Truth that I've been obsessed with for weeks + the sparkly, silvery gray "Platinum" shade of Ikon's latest Ardent eyes. My go-to 1-shoulder "Dakota" dress by Maitreya finished this no-fuss silvery look.
And since I've still been obsessing over new home decor stuffs, here are some free pretties for those with a green thumb: this free gardening desk (complete with clay flowerpots, seed packets, "Biologica" dirt sack + some wooden tray things), which I combined with these gorges single plants in gardening soil sacks (you get 3 different mesh ones for free by El Patio Inc.).
Speaking of El Patio Inc., I'm so glad that creator Denise Rowlands graciously invited me to check out her striking Crash Boat SIM, since this place is simply crammed with ready-made ops for photogs. Be sure to wander past the stores plaza to check out the abandoned railway cars, rustic  wooden bridge, rainy mountaintop scene (complete with tucked-away cozy shack!) & even a solitary control tower. My fave was simply taking in the glowing sunset on the boat-strewn beach, which was broken up beautifully by tiny flowing streams + whitewashed logs. This beach actually so reminded me of my fave sandy spots in Hawaii; Denise really got that mix of solitude + artfully-strewn nature just right! Most def on my permanent must-TP list as a serene hideout for some good old-fashioned peace + quiet.
