And since the annual cornucopia of grid-wide Easter hunts is 1 of the bestest times of the year to scoopie some complementary primo quality home goods, I couldn't let this week go by without showing you some pretty houseware finds -- most of which are yours for the low price of free. -- I mean, deviled eggs. C'mon now!

Winter Treats.

The winter months find the grid simply bursting with events, including everybody's fave $88L monthly event Collabor88, which is overflowing with the goodies this time around. The new "Bianca" hair by Truth, featuring thse oh-so-'80s hairfall wave bangs, plus a lusciously shiny, new mauve lip gloss makeup for the latest "Amberly" skin by Glam Affair, got me all ready to enjoy my free jar o' gingerbread cookies.
And in home decor news, I decided to switch up our SL home to be purely an "outdoorsy" scene, after grabbing that steal of a snow dome camping scene gift on the Royal Living Hunt for $45L from FD Decor (an animated tent, camping lantern, on/off fire (complete with marshmallow sticks!), live falling snow, snow-capped firs + even an ice skating pond all included). I added some reindeer (happily munching the giant Miasnow lollys at The Arcade), some apple pie + holiday lights, and a new snuggly home was born. -- How perfect is this "fallen tree," complete with miniaturized Santa + reindeer scene, for adding a li'l secret to your winter woods? Crammed with loving detail, this winter log is frosted with fallen snowdrifts, Santa + even teeny tiny Xmas lights strings for the reindeer reins. Ho ho ho!

Meanwhile here in NYC, bitter winds are making it a pain in the @#$! to have any sort of social life. Still, I'm off to brunch for some dear friends to meet the furry monster (wish me luck that he doesn't decide to relieve himself all over their extremely expensive hardwood floors).

A Rainbow Vintage.

1 of my Flickr photog buddies Kallisto Destiny, whose fashion imagery always adds a touch of dreamy moods, is debuting her new Drift brand at Vintage Fair 2012. I styled her new rainbow-dipped, bokeh-like print dress to channel colorful '80s-retro style by adding this week's new fuscia-bowtied "Liberty" pony updo by Truth; shiny metallic gold leggings + some fun grabs at recent Japanese festivals added extra playfulness, like this free giant tub of gummy worms (on a rainbow link chain!) + a pink lemonade bottle necklace (complete w/ a candy-striped straw). This curious baby panda bear was only $30L at d-lab's newest panda gatcha (I named him Oreo); Oreo was very curious about Gavin, although he decided in the end that he didn't really trust boys. -- I did catch Oreo sneaking glances at G's li'l friend tho. Hehe.
Aren't Japanese packaged snacks are the best? I love trying all the yummy salty flavors like seaweed and shrimp (although I think Oreo blabbed to a few too many of his li'l friends that we had treats).

Shark Tales.

When I picked up the new free baby shark at d-lab, I had no idea it had so many friends. -- Or how sorely they were in need of some flippin' house training.
Luckily the newest free striped slip-ons by Pivaaca (how great are these? I think they're for men, but they resize in a snap) + some free spiky cuffs kept me safe from these bitey li'l guys. -- I'm also showing some new pieces by The Plastik, Izzie's and Teefy; the gorges braided hair below was new by Truth last week. -- Plus how beachy are these golden sandcastle earrings? Today I let my newest puppy friends (from left to right here: Toffee, PJ & Mochi) choose my looks today. Esuga creator Eilfie Sugarplum just passed me her newest skins, eyes & makeups + as per usual, Eilfie's sense of playfulness really emerges thru her work. Check her pouty teeth + "Persian Cat" eyes, which I thought were so unusual + fun. *mwuahs Eilfie Sugarplum*
I met up with my penguin friends while visiting the famed Hotel de Glace (ice hotel) that's built (+ melted) once a year. These li'l flipper dudes are $30L at D-Lab; my fave was this animated backpack guy (who I named Chippie), who actually swivels his head + waves his flippers around nervously. -- I think Chippie was worried about everything melting.
