Today's look was inspired by new piglet friend Lucifur, who not only goaded me into spending all my $L at the newest round of The Arcade, but even got me to reveal my super-secret "Burn Book" (I did manage to stow it away hastily in my bag afterwards). -- Yep, that book's got all the names of those foolish souls who've dared to cross me! Still, I knew I could trust Lucifur to inflict his own special powers of piggie justice on them.
Actually, all Lucifur ended up inflicting was pain on his own behind, when his sister, Angelica, decided to rather enthusiastically test out this sky-colored 2-seater scooter. -- Between the 2 of them, Angelica tends to usually get her way; plus as everybody knows, piggies can't drive.

Femme Punk.

I have a friend in RL who is the most gorges girl you've ever seen -- as in, she could be plucked from a freaking Caravaggio or something -- but she's completely tatted out, as in, ink absolutely everywhere. She's constantly saying that she has to keep her style "femme" in order to offset her tats; this same "balancing" aesthetic between femme + punk is at play today in these 2 styles from Hair Fair 2012 shown here. Check out this edgy "Going Steady" style by Clawtooth (the shaggy chin-length front section hides a secret, skinny twisted knot piece trailing loosely down the back) + this edgy "shaved" side of the head "Aida" style by Wasabi Pills (the buzzed scalp offers such a striking contrast to the tres girlie braid falling down the side).

O My Hair!

One of my favorite events of the year, Hair Fair 2012, has kicked off + there are oodles of goodies to shop. The build is roomy + spacious, making for plenty of easy browsing; plus like last year, a percentage of every hair pack at Hair Fair 2012 goes to Wigs for Kids, so you can spend those hard-earned $L for a selfless purpose!
I'm not sure what it is about summertime (and this summer in particular) but I've been digging anything au naturel lately (probably due to stressful RL workstuffs + having to dress up daily now, bah). -- That being said, when I saw these gorges mesh styles by Logo with nothing too fancy, just natural-looking hair splits + natural volume up in the crown and along the shoulder -- and with such realistic texturing -- I had show you how these just totally fit my breezy summer mood.

I'm full-on into my RL no-carbs, gym punishment mode, so I thought I'd share a quickie 'kini pic with you here (mostly for self-motivation purposes, hehe). This skin paired so beautifully with this week's newest styles by Truth (all bangless + all fierce): check the long locks tumbling over the eye in this "Tashia" style (shown above in blonde, with roots); the elegant over-the-shoulder "Jodie" (shown here in red; this cat-eyed skin accentuated the feline slinkiness of the 'do) + the tousled, wavy shoulder-length "Roma," featuring a color-change scarf headband (some chilled tofu was a yummy snack). -- The Truth store has been mobbed for the newest free hair gift; you can see that lovely side pony style on my post for FreeStyle here).
I also had to show you this Bardot-like "Kirby" updo from Truth last week (think superpouffe!), which I paired with a look that I also love in RL: putting platform heels (yellow patent T-straps here; but any would work) together with shorter, knee-length cargo pants (these here also happen to be free).

Orange Crush.

Citrus, peach, terra cotta, coral: just walk into any RL store this spring to see all shades of succulent orange bursting on store shelves. I have a particular fondness for this color in a bright, vibrant hue; I also love that it symbolizes energy, creativity & joy.
Our own Sophielle graciously lent her adorable self for this orangey shot with me earlier this week. Check out these delectable new "glitter" nails by Cheap Makeup (I couldn't decide which I liked best, so I Photoshopped 2 colors together here, hehe). A pretty new head butterflies 'n flowers wreath by Nanan (which I thought went perfectly with this new poufy crown updo by Ploom) + a new knee-length mesh skirt by Urbana -- an up-and-coming brand that I'm diggin' for its emphasis on bold, geometric prints -- completed this colorful look.
In other news, there's always time for some free sushi, 'specially when it comes in this candy-colored pink lunchbox. -- Watch out for the salmon tho'; it's almost too fresh to eat.

Hair & Makeup, Please

The 2 new Truth releases this week offer your choice of ultra-smex luscious long locks or supergirlie double pony updos. It's a bounty of hair richness; guess which one I just had to put on first.
I was feeling kinda athletic today, so I slipped into the new 2-tone tee by Boom, together with some free (subtle) cutout tights by Paper.Doll + this free pose basketball by Love Soul. -- Btw these fall corduroy shorts by Boom are so versatile; I've shown 'em longer before, but I like 'em shorter with over-the-knee tights like the ones I'm wearing today.
A quick word about the makeup in the 1st pic above: although this isn't the clearest shot of it (I'll try to show it again later), I'm kinda cwaaazzzie about these new "Latex Liners" by Cheap Makeup. These hi-shine eyelids remind me of that old runway trick of dabbing lip gloss above the eyes for a high-def shine; you get your choice of several bold colors too. -- Subtle? No. Haute? Yes.
