Lemon Lime.

I've been squeezing freshly plucked grapefruits + other citrus whilst visiting the West Coast, which is likely what inspired this tarty lemon-lime look today.
This look was built around the zesty lemon-lime accessories, but how pretty is this deep scoopneck tank + skirt combo new by Tee*fy (another Collabor88 find)? The draping detail is so naturally done; and I like how this soft, neutral creme color plays off the rich jade tones of the skirt. -- Plus I must also mention the hat hair. If you don't agree that this newest "Edith" beanie style by Truth is 1 of the year's most impeccable hair finds yet -- check out these supersoft, rolling waves tumbling from a flawlessly slouched cap, for a look that's basically uniform in NYC life -- the city girl in me will be forced to give you the disdainful Manhattan once-over. Hard. And if you think the avocado sauce burger I'm holding above isn't hi-cal enough, check out these scrumptiously fatty prim foodz by Vooner -- including my fave, this mysteriously gelatinous, SPAM-shaped fake meat roll sitting all fancy on a sky blue plate. -- What? Yes. Just yes.

Idyllic Mood.

NYC is officially on hurricane lockdown, meaning we're all essentially having what amounts to a snow day sprinkled with the angst of pending disaster (i.e., mass transit shut down, panic run on the grocery stores for water + batteries, etc.). Styling-wise, this meant a calming neutrals palette was definitely in order. I slipped on the newest nude suede ruched skirt & belted blazer set by Ricielli, this deliciously messy, 2-tone "Josie" style new by Truth + some new coral-toned Donna Flora jewels. And since some alcohol is never amiss in a disaster, this free yummy pumpkin cocktail helped calm the nerves a bit. *slurps generously*
We NYCers are no strangers to weather; still, I must say that these whirling "wind tunnel" noises are a bit scary. Searching for flashlights love + fashionista kisses to all!

Butterflies & Bouffants.

Two of my fave brands on the grid, Truth + Tram, have new must-haves out this week that I styled for you today. Ponytail fans will love this new "Kiki" style, featuring several color-change bands, a poufy top section + a long gathered pony trailing down the front; plus how sweet is this scalloped-edge dress? The cute butterfly print drew a crowd amongst my new butterfly friends, hehe.
This knee-length dress also comes in white, and as always with the meticulous Tram brand, it's all about the details: check out the teeny tiny lace-up drawstrings in the back + the meticulous navy embroidery along the front. I'm also showing the smexpot new "Aurora" style as the other newness by Truth this week, which just shows that you can never have too much bouffant, in any life.

So the big news in eventsland is the much-anticipated Vintage Fair kicking off on November 11th, hosted by Keira Seerose & Co. of CHIC Management. Here's a sneak peek of this freaking stunning Art Deco-ish dress by The Sea Hole, in that most quintessential of roaring '20s color combos: dove gray + nude, color blocked together in this deep V-neck bodice that practically screams Great Gatsby. The latest Donna Flora cameo 'n pave-encrusted jewels added a subtle sparkly touch.
*Photography tip of the day: Gavin found 1 of the most useful photog tools ever that I just had to share with y'all: a free wearable HUD that you can control your eyes with (it does other stuff too, like clench/release your fingers, etc.). No idea if everybody else already has this thing or what (it was new to me), but it works together with any pose + it's freakin' fantastico. Thanks to Gavin for this ZOMG awes tip! Caramel Culture Shock

Nemesis creator Calypso Clip is debuting several feminine, caramel-toned pieces for the massive upcoming CHIC Management Culture Shock event that I wanted to show you. These separates work so well together as an ensemble; I added nude & black capped heels by SLink, a gorges new apple print shoulder bag by Izumiya + a long new twisted hair by Milana to complete this fawn-colored look.

The Black Leather Jacket, Redux

There's some excellent group gifts at Airflow right now, including a free cropped army green hoodie that's gotten plenty of feeds attention + this free black leather coat, which I thought was a tres classic piece to finish any look. And check out these ahhhdorables "babies" print socks, which I thought were a major steal for $10L.

Nature Girl

Sunday Style: Shirtdress Sass

Today's Sunday Style is built around the gorges new floaty shirtdresses that my girl Moca Loup debuted this week. These were totes giving brainy collegiate style, so I donned my nerdiest glasses + some studious-ish argyle suspender sox to smarten up this look.

Word to mah fellow shoe whores: these dark chocolate leather boots by J's are free in a sprawling 7-SIM hunt ongoing right now. How delectable are these?
Here's the complete look. My travel platform style was inspired by a free 3-piece set of denim luggage at Izumiya: a free ruffle top + free striped tights by Shampoo only needed a chunky pearl necklace as a final touch (another free gift by Fairy Tail, in the same 7-SIM hunt).
I don't know about you, but I always make a point to wear chocolate brown tones whilst waiting under fluorescent lights at the train platform.
