Country Spring.

The newest round of Collabor88 is filled with oodles of girlie things for this month's theme of "Kitsch." I combined some new bright turquoise floral jewelry by Donna Flora with some rustic finds, including this "grandma" floral sweater + ruffled miniskirt by Teefy, an celopod print mini-hobo purse (perhaps, "nouveau grandma") by The Sea Hole & the latest luxuriously pouffed "Elisha" low pony style by Truth (a thoroughly modern hair, shown in the 2nd pic below). -- With all these warmer climes (finally), I just had to get my ice cream sundae fix; can't forget the li'l round straw wafer, either. *spills ice cream on sweater, licks it off*
Check out the newest "Margot" face by Glam Affair, i.e., yet another major skin find available at Collabor88. -- I really like the knowing smile on this face; it's like a slightly more coy version of the "Amberly" skin that swept the grid earlier this year. Babyfaced.

The Sugar Garden is debuting its new "Hope" skin at Skin Fair 2013 (which opens today), and it's an exquisite realization of that babyfaced, utterly gamine look that creator Eilfie Sugarplum has been honing for years. The eyes are wide and innocent (the blonde brows -- which everyone knows can often be tricky -- are also expertly done) and the body is lushly soft; and these barely-parted, glossy lips are tres pouty, 'specially when paired with this softly surprised expression. Plus, the petite, rounded button nose! I was struck by how perfectly fitting it is on this fresh + youthful face. Take a look.
And in fashion news, Collabor88 has kicked off a particularly adorbs theme this month around "New Romance." I'm showing a few standouts here, including The Sea Hole creator (and Collabor88 organizer) Drinkinstein Sorbet's own "Sugar Whip" (is that a delectable name or what?) colored top + tank set, crammed with her usual rich, hand-drawn detail (check out the heart-print patterned shoulders!), which I paired with a vintage floraled knee-length skirt by Teefy that's just bursting with fluffy pleats 'n'  ruffles. Some knee-high socks + metal-tipped pumps new by Baiastice + the latest sideswept hair by Truth capped off this breezy, Spring-ready look.

Arcade Mania.

Everybody's fave gatcha mania event The Arcade kicks off today with its brand-new quarterly installment, and as to be expected with this insanely cute event, your hard-earned $L are so not safe from these uber-tempting, spank-yer-wallet fresh gatcha prizes. (In what must be a new personal best, I dumped $500L within the 1st 10 mins of being there. Gah!)
This round is a particularly scrumptious one for home & food items. Since I have a particular weakness for SL foodstuffs, I had to show you these scrumptious soft-serves + other delectable sweets by Tee*fy. This cotton candy maker slowly twirls, and that round cake pops wafflemaker? Too adorbs for words. -- My only wish would be that these could actually "give" you mini ice creams, cake pops or cotton candys upon touch (honestly they're just too cute not to)! On the upside, creator Azure Electricteeth has kept the land impact nicely low (some only 1 prim count)! All lickably good.

And since these sugary concoctions swiftly landed moi in a drowsy coma, I stopped by the SLOW SIM to chillax for a mo'. This pale pink '50s retro, beautifully stenciled, pouffy knee-length skirt by The Sea Hole creator (and RL hand-drawn artist) Drinkinstein Sorbet -- plus some glass jar coffee + panda bento box lunch -- quickly helped revive my gatcha'ed out self. -- Plus isn't this square-shaped, contrast-trimmed purse tres cute? It's by Milk Motion + I'm absolutely fiending for the "rare" one (featuring a fluffie animal tail). *will-not-get-frustrated-will-not-get-frustrated* Le sigh.

Baby Blues.

With the winter's first flurries tumbling thru NYC's freezing streets last night, I couldn't help but dream of fresh baby blues + soft pinks of the coming Spring.

Dove Gray.

Creator Drinkinstein Sorbet always turns it out for her monthly Collabor88 creations, and I've fallen hard for her brand-new saucy bodysuit + skirt combo in this soft dove gray hue. More color pop in the form of oversized opaque gem rings + 2-tone suede draped boots by Hucci (both also new at Collabor88) finished this ensemble; a free sparkly ruby-toned clutch + this free mischievously plump teddy made my trip to the library today feel a bit more girlie.
And this is the new Laq "Saga" skin that everyone's been buzzing about. 
This skin was interesting for me since typically, matte skins aren't my personal favorite; that being said, I did enjoy the "softened" quality of this innocent face (I also very much liked this unusual brick red-colored lip stain). For my avi however, I think I still prefer the natural "glowy" quality of the other Laq skins more (like the "Mima" skin I'm wearing in the 1st pic above, which remains 1 of my hands-down faves today).

Pale Lips Sink Ships.

Some looks for you today that I shot last weekend (due to @#$!% RL have not been able to post until today), showing some lovely things from the new Collabor88 + the One Voice shopping event. Amongst my faves: these black leather shorts (!) by Tokodoki, these fabby thick-striped (the fat stripes are key) new stilettos by N-Core; this gorges nude keyhole minidress by Kyoot (which I loved with this edgy feathered "ear cuff" by Magic Nook); a sweet red cherries drawstring dress (on pink, yay!) dressed up with layers of strung necklaces; plus check out this sweet floral print dress by Baiastice, which is so flirty + perfect for hot days. Ahhh, summer!
Btw all of these feature new-ish skins with pale lip tones, which I think is tres appropro for summer. I'm particularly liking this nude-lipped redo of the "Elena" Laq skin at One Voice, featuring lush, full lips + a wide-eyed innocence in the face.

La Nouvelle Vague.

The newest installment of Collabor88 celebrates a highly stylized, moody theme of "French New Wave" that's 'specially for all you cinefiles. Think retro-glam pieces like cuffed capris, oversized sunglasses & bold stripes, all hearkening back to the cinematic arthouse narratives of the 1950s & '60s (don't even think of another lipstick shade except deep red with these looks). As per always, everything is at the discount price of $88L or less. Take a look.
I'm also showing this week's lovely new "Hilary" mesh style by Truth, featuring long, flowing locks that are tres natural (+ so stylistically versatile; you could easily smex this up or go casual summery). A classic pearl necklace + dramatically long ciggie finished this nouvelle vague look.

I mix 'n' matched this lace-bodiced top with some fun accessories (neon orange glasses, book charm & cameo necklaces, laurel wreath earrings + even a newspaper) + for this librarian-ish look today. You'll also be able to nab these 2-tone ankle boots at the upcoming CHIC Management event for mental health awareness, "Back to Black" (look for a more extensive post on that later). -- Plus I must say that I was also excited to finally be able to style this cute ear pencil into this tres studious look.

This week's 2 new Truth styles shown below offer your choice of a dramatic "pouffe" updo bun (that I find very fashionista) + this beautiful half-up, longer style that's so handy for showing off earrings. Plus you get this puffy crown area resting just above the forehead that's so so smex.
The new Collabor88 session kicked off yesterday + as per usual, there's a stellar series of new things worth at least a browse. Plenty of bold, rich colors this time around; I'm doing a li'l mix 'n' match with a new double-ruffle skirt by u.f.o. (shown here in 2 primary colors), a vintage-styled parasol by The Sea Hole + some pretty new oversized jewelry by LaGyo. These button-down, thick-heeled ankle booties are tres adorable + I just luhs the bold color combos too (the pink + red together are sooo on-trend in RL now as well).
Strange things you see in the clouds sometimes. Reminds me of a certain someone, hehe.
