Some lovely casual goodies for you today, the star of which has gotta be this artfully mussed, shaggy chin-length "Kenzie" style by Truth (one of my top faves in recent releases; sooo love it in the 2-tone "Barbie" color) which I thought paired so nicely with So Many Styles creator Irie Campese's brand-new casual separates. Some furry friends decided to hitch a ride, in the form of Intrigue Co.'s Katharine McGinnis' soon-to-be-released new plushies at the next round of The Arcade, which opens in a few days. (Beware the walrus tho' -- he toots!) Hehe.
I'm also showing you the newest "Thursday" skin by Essences. -- It's rare that a newish skin brand will make me stray from my usual faves, but I must admit I've fallen hard for this intelligentsia face, especially framed by this heavy bangs hair. I'm looking forward to seeing what new fresh faces creator Inka Mexicola will be dreaming up!

Arcade Love.

It's no secret that SL has become inundated with events, which is why I was especially honored to blog The Arcade, the exceptional quarterly gatcha mania event that's very similar in "feel" to Collabor88 in that the participating creators vigorously flex their creative muscles for each unmistakeably innovative installment (vs recycling pre-existing creations for sale). The result is strikingly innovative, gotta-have-it items that means bye bye $L for us shopoholics. -- Since I was all busy getting the furball when The Arcade first debuted, I was suuuper excited to show you some of my faves from this 2nd round, together with the brand-new, beautifully glowy "Amberly" skin by Glam Affair (wet, berry-stained lips? Yes please!)
Deep meditations are such a calming way to start the day.
And in home furnishings news, this marvelously detailed nail polish stand (check out the 3 cotton ball holders on top!) by uber-innovative home design creator Kaz Nayar for Pilot could be the best use of 1 (!) prim count (and $10L) ever. Luhs!
I was so impressed with this meticulously built nail rack (for a hunt gift, no less!) that I also had to also show you Kaz's offering for The Arcade, which is this utterly enchanting, miniaturized model "winter town," complete with tiny frozen lake and bridge. -- Now this is the kind of thing that's just 100% pure creator love (I personally adore things like this with zero practical purpose, in any life). You gotta have respect for anyone who invests so much care into purely creative yummy stuff; check out the little snowdrifts on the trees, and teensy holiday lights, and you'll get a sense of the loving detail put into this whimsical item. -- Special *mwuahs* to Vixie Rayna for telling me that her RL family sets out something like this every year, hehe.

Two of my fave finds this week are this $10L (!) skin by Atomic on the With Love Again Hunt + these totally hot "Dip Dye" chain earrings and necklaces by Glow Studio, featuring round link gold chains that have taken a fun dip in a splash of cherry red (additional colors are available too). -- The golden filigree thing in my hair is actually a free bracelet by U&R Dogs; I was inspired to wear it this way since I actually own a princessa-esque silver headband in RL with a metal piece like this one (I love to wear it to girlie up all-black looks, so cute).
I'm also showing another version of those fabby tall, over-the-knee boots new by R2 (luhs these scrumptious 2-tone caramel + chocolate browns) + this glittery gold dress is a mere $15L (fair warning: it's tres short and semi-nipply, so you'll want to cover up a bit) at the Ricielli Xmas gift hunt that I saw on the stores blog section of Style Academy, a.k.a. my shopping 411 when I can't get inworld.

This month's Collabor88 is a double-up affair: each creator was invited to bring a "prom date," meaning twice the amount of both stores + goodies on offer than usual. It's also a particularly choice selection, from this so so smex smoky-eyed Illusory skin to these freakin' gorge muffs by Boom (these scrunchy textures are tactile-esque realistic). This event has been jam packed; there have been some exceptional quality finds here for the discount price tag of $88L or less.
In RL, I would be sooo chilly in these looks; however, the whole scarf with bare arms thing is very much something I would wear in RL (I would just bring a coat, hehe).
These looks combine more $10L finds from the With Love Again Hunt by CHIC Management (you're searching for a red gift box) -- including some nice things in the home decor department. Check out this $10L retro toaster by Artilleri; it's so prettily textured (color-change too!) + not too bad a prim cost at only 10 prims. If only it popped out toast!

This unicorn might look kawaii, but it copped quite the 'tude when I refused to get it some yummy Skittles last night.
