High Summer.

High summer is here, along with many scrumptious things tres fitting for the hot, arid season: I'm loving this texture-change cowboy hat hair by Truth (the notched straw texture of the hat is so meticulously done); the extremely pretty "Summer" skin by Glam Affair (which would work beautifully in any season, actually) + some silky, ruffled separates by Teefy that you can scoopie at the newest round of Collabor88. -- Plus how liquidy + beguiling are these dark eyes? More to love from creator Ikon Innovia's latest "Ascension" line (and a dead-on match to this particular shade of rusted brown straw hat, I might add).

Another look for you today showing the latest "Panda" gem baubles by Donna Flora, this elegantly upswept "Sierra" long style by Truth + more pretty things at The Arcade, including a 2-toned dress by Baiastice (with matching print-trimmed sunglasses) + these sporty oversized watches by Yummy. Plus check out this sky blue & tan leather buckled messenger bag by DECO, which is so NYC that I could happily wear this the rest of my SL days. Luhs!

This wispy-strands, ice-cream cone swirled updo that's brand-new by Diva at Collabor88 is a standout amongst soft yet dramatic 'dos. Urban Resort

Everyone by now has likely seen the latest mesh releases for Maitreya, which I obviously couldn't resist styling for you either.
Creator Onyx Leshelle told me that this fun new collection of versatile separates (from wedge boots to printed skirts + leather pants) was the result of 4-5 months of steady design work, and you can really see all the usual satisfying Maitreya details (from teeny buttons on blouse sleeves to zipper "pulls" on these wedge booties). Some flirty new hairs by Milana + Wasabi Pills helped dress up these smart, casual pieces, which to me, felt like what we urbanfolk might wear if we wanted to imagine doing the whole wintertime resort escape thang -- but we were really stuck in, say, a whitewashed loft in the city instead. *dreams of sunny beaches, frozen drinks + other tropical yummies*
One thing I've always appreciated about Maitreya is how Onyx LeShelle deliberately ventures into new color territory with each new release, like her new "Grape" and "Moss" hues that I'm showing in the backless "Athena" sweater in the 1st pic above. Check the tiny pockets tucked just underneath the buttie on these leather pants; a totally impractical, utterly fashionista touch that's tres urban chic. -- Btw this hat hair is an older Maitreya one that I couldn't bring myself to take off, once I saw how it smartened up these casual styles.

Now if only a magical P.J. (that's private jet to all us non-zillionaires) would show up at our door for a quick whisk down to warmer climes. Resort dreams love + fashionista kisses to all!

Golden Girl

Two of my fave finds this week are this $10L (!) skin by Atomic on the With Love Again Hunt + these totally hot "Dip Dye" chain earrings and necklaces by Glow Studio, featuring round link gold chains that have taken a fun dip in a splash of cherry red (additional colors are available too). -- The golden filigree thing in my hair is actually a free bracelet by U&R Dogs; I was inspired to wear it this way since I actually own a princessa-esque silver headband in RL with a metal piece like this one (I love to wear it to girlie up all-black looks, so cute).
I'm also showing another version of those fabby tall, over-the-knee boots new by R2 (luhs these scrumptious 2-tone caramel + chocolate browns) + this glittery gold dress is a mere $15L (fair warning: it's tres short and semi-nipply, so you'll want to cover up a bit) at the Ricielli Xmas gift hunt that I saw on the stores blog section of Style Academy, a.k.a. my shopping 411 when I can't get inworld.
