I can't remember being busier in RL in any holiday season, it's been simply bananas! However, I had to show you this week's lovely "Sassy" swirly-retro 'do from Truth (this version has the long pony in back), which I styled together with these fabby camo-pocketed cargos from Miel (such a steal at the last $50L Fridays) + this full-plumed feathery jacket by Mimikri which I believe you can still grab at TDR's Fusion sale.When it comes down to it, feathers + fab hair are all you really need to glam up any street-smart look. Satin stilettos never hurt, either (although in RL, these would be red suede Louboutins, hehe). And now back to my holiday orders craziness (i.e., diamond jewelry production meetings). Tres Tardy for Tres Chic!

This week's new Truth styles feature pinned-back locks of lusciously tousled locks, creating a soft but smex frame around the face that's so perfect for both casual and more formal styles.
Some time ago, the lovely ladies over at the Tres Chic blog kindly let me join their talented crew of hardcore fashionistas, but with the crush of the RL holidays, etc., I'd been unable to post anything until now (sowwwy fabulous ladies! Falling Into Fall

Whip It Good!

OK so . . . some of the Modavia gifts are out; you kinda gotta wander the main courtyard + click around. In each of the designers' displays, you'll see the same little sign to join the Modavia Fashion Marketing (MFM) group for $0L; if there's a gift, it will likely be located just underneath or nearby (often displaying each brand's logo); make sure you're wearing the MFM group tag to click. The gloves/hat I'm showing were $1L, but the other gifts were free; generally speaking, only the designers who have already shown their collections have gifts out now (you can see the show schedule on any of the signs displayed nearby).
What I like most about Fashion Week (RL or SL) is the opportunity to push fashion into high concept. This was why I really liked this unusual riding crop free gift, i.e., something that's not necessarily just "fashion" but versatile enough for other uses. This crop didn't really "go" with this look, but I had to show it to ya (you can even control it via a handy "Whip Menu," lol).

On Frozen Icees & Piggishness

Maitreya creator Onyx LeShelle has recently released her summer line, including new shirt + pants separates and this elegant 1-shoulder ruffle dress that's perfect for relaxed summertime fete-ing. Or, say, free animal-shaped breads. *mwuahs Onyx LeShelle*
Shopperistas will appreciate the single prim, scripted aspect of these pieces: for example, fatpackers receive 1 shoulder ruffle that changes color via a menu (instead of a zillion copies of the same item). -- This is such a welcome relief for anyone desperately trying to cut inventory clutter (ahem); not to mention getting tons o' mix 'n match options (which I took advantage of here).
Here's a better look at Onyx's scrumptious new triple-buckle, thin-strapped "Allegre" platform heels, where you can really see Onyx's ability to execute tricky, subtle pastels in beautifully realistic RL leather textures. Yums.

2 looks for you today, inspired by the shoe goodies that I picked up at this weekend's 60% off sale at Hoorenbeek. These ahhhmazin' multi-textured "Lucille" lace-up tall boots (yummie golden double buckles + tiny gold eyelets!) + tweed herringbone pants by Spirit Store tied together this casual riding look.
It's always a big yay when you remember random things in your inventory, like this horse I won for free at the Neon Frog MM board.

Another shopping event is underway to aid the tragic events in Japan, this time featuring many Asian creators and donations going 100% to the Japanese Red Cross Society. On a purely selfish note, it's also your chance to grab these gorges wine-colored Kookie boots on sale (normally $500L, reduced down to $380L); the long row of eye-popping detailed "eyelets" on these boots is simply the yums.
R2 creator Rei2 Aya is also offering an exclusive white & gold version of her popular "Pumehana" boot for this event, which I paired with a free sherbety cardi for my comfy airport stroll today. A $75L lemon-lime bag by Addict provided ample room for all my fashionista travel reading.

Lil' Lost Reindeer
