The Glam-Pire Diaries, Vol. 2: Top Vampire Chef

Tay Wycliffe here, Tesh's vampire cousin. Tesh went on yet another of her shopping sprees *rolls eyes* so she asked me to take over for another post.

Luckily I've just been accepted as a contestant on the vampire world's newest TV sensation, Top Vampire Chef. Basically, a bunch of us ambitious foodie vamps compete each week to prove who's got bloody culinary game.
My main rival is a pesky know-it-all, Gary McGinnis. -- That Gary thinks he's such a much. He makes these avant-garde things like blood mousse and blood sorbet. -- Puh-leeeze! If we vamps wanted that frou-frou nonsense we'd all be drinking dandelion wine instead.

The other contestant is a talented girl who I really like, DreamBloodAngel Larnia (altho' the network, Vampire Television or VTV, tried to make us girls catfight with each other like, all the time. They gave that up after I scary hissed at them).

I should also probably mention that our famous TV show host, Tom Co-Leechy-Yo, is somewhat biased against me ever since I observed that his shiny, dome-like appearance strongly resembles that human hygiene icon, Mr. Clean. Some immortals are so sensitive! Sheesh.

Now to the kitchen, where things are really cookin':

Tom Co-Leechy-Yo: "Listen up contestants. This week, your Quickfire Challenge is to create that trickiest of vampire delicacies: a blood pudding. You have 30 minutes. Go!"
Gary: "I'm doing an avant-garde take on the traditional blood pudding, Tom, which we all know is really just a fried blood clot. Instead I'm making a frothy blood mousse, served in a delicate brain membrane. I'm pretty confident about this Quickfire Challenge, Tom."

Tom walks over to me with a slightly hostile look on this face and snaps, "And you? What are you making?"
"I'm sous-vide-ing some rich, chunky veins for my blood pudding, Tom," I say smugly. "I just know the nice contrasting textures will totally impress the judges."

But what's this? Tom is no longer listening 'cuz he's busy asking DreamBloodAngel out on a date! Heeeey wait a minute, is that even allowed?
The next thing I know, Tom is announcing:

"DreamBloodAngel Larnia -- you are Top Vampire Chef!"

The TV studio erupts into utter chaos! Dream screams with delight. The entire audience is whooping and cheering. Gary looks like he's ready to throw frothy blood mousse at both Dream and Tom. But I can't pay any attention anymore 'cuz I get totally distracted by a juicy noob human who's somehow made his way into the audience. Forget all these cooks in the kitchen -- it's dinnertime!

That Li'l Somethin' Extra

My fave hairstyles new by Truth this week each offer that li'l somethin' extra that we details fiends go nuts for. Check out this tiara-adorned "Jersey" style, perfect for dusting off those Prom Queen fantasies/memories/nightmares.
The contrary girl in me went supercasual with this done-up 'do, with a free ripped sweatshirt dress by Kyoko Couture + a free Tokidoki watermelon purse for a that extra juicy touch.
This new "Orchid" updo showcases the trademark Truth teeny-tiny streaks + 2 plump orchid blooms placed just so in the hair. -- All ye ballroom gown kinda gals, /me suspects this one's like, your. hair.

I usually make a point to avoid huge glasses that take up half my face, so I wasn't in the finest mood that these were required for class (something about dangerous chemicals, blah blah blah). I was halfway to another sulk until I realized that the patch on this lab coat was actually pretty cool.

Wow, our science experiment worked! I really didn't think I'd get my styrofoam planets to levitate + zoom around me like that. The deep and profound mysteries of science!

The brand-new "Antique Linen" baby doll dress by Tram put moi in the. girliest. mood ever. Which is just fine by me. *mwuahs Moca Loup*
Here's the same Tram dress in a pretty dusty rose color. This vintage hue + supersheer underskirt just barely peeking out make this baby doll dress something special.
There's not much more baby doll than ponytails, and these superpoofy ponys show why Truth offers some the finest streaks on the grid: teeny-tiny color stripes + oh-so-subtle shadowing create "layering" effects that are the yums. *mwuahs Truth Hawks*I'm also showing that gorges gem headband by Tram that is simply girlie girl, personified. -- Needless to say, this baby doll is gonna be wearin' tha hellz outta this thing. In all colors. Heh.

Oh, Sugar

Sugarcube creator Sayuri Cremorne disappeared briefly last year, right after announcing her then-new Sugar (more casual) brand. I haven't paid these stores a visit in awhile, so imagine my delight when I found these free goodies hanging around quietly, just waiting to be scooped.
This gorges sugarplum-colored, gold-stenciled free tank top was tres perfect with this molten gold, flouncy knee-length skirt. Ahhh casual summer style.
This pretty blue smock top I'm wearing is also free (check the 2nd floor). This was so great for my beachside stroll.
I found this lovely free "Chimney" dress hidden in the store too. Just touch the guestbook on the table in the middle of the store + it's yours, gratis.

And now to show you 1 of my fave dresses ever in my inventory, which Sayuri debuted last year: the "Goldfish" dress by Sugarcube. The insanely fluttery way this thing moves, the stunning ombre color fade + these absolutely luscious candy colors -- to me, this is the very epitome of fashion candy: delectable. *mwuahs Sayuri Cremorne*
