Just a quick in-world shot today, showing you the other new Truth hair release this week: this gorges "Lucia" updo, featuring soft, curling tendrils that fall against the face + a beautifully "wrinkly" color-change bow. This elegant 'do put me in a retro-ish mood, so I hopped ovahs to 1920s Berlin for my glamour shot next to this enormous roadside truck. -- Some local red foxes were curious to see what all the fuss was about; I persuaded them to stay in the shot with me by promising them yummy treats afterwards.

Meet The Blooms!

So . . . I've finally succumbed to the Bloom Doll craze sweeping the grid, courtesy of Surf Co. creator Emma Gilmour. For $600L, you get a giant "doll"'s head to wear (for which you need resizable hair); a dollface skin (with options for eye/lid color, lashes + open/closed eyes); + a special doll-thin body shape (this will fit most clothes; you don't need to wear it, but it accentuates the similarity to Blythe Doll shapes). The dress-up metaphor -- which is pretty much how I view my avi anyway -- together with the all a-buzz Flickr contest, has spurred the creativity of several known photogs; even if you don't get your own, it's worth a look-see to peek at how others have styled this thing. White Knickers & A Full Moon

Mah gf Tram creator Moca Loup has just released some darling new "coat shirt"-type longer top pieces that are tres perfect for lazin' around in yo' undies. This blue striped/white collar + French cuffs version is just 1 of several versions that are all just so damn cute. *mwuahs Moca Loup*
I couldn't resist a free Bambi-faced neck strap coin purse with this fawn-colored version; a free sheer chiffon dress by Fore + the new "Miku" bow-accented updo by Truth completed this dollface look. -- Yes that's a bit o' nip showin'; hopefully nobody minds too much, hehe. *prepares for G's wrath*
Btw if you haven't yet seen this $15L "doll joints" skin that's making the blog rounds, it's worth a look-see; the Rotten Toe skins are always something of a surprise (they're uber-cheapies, but always so lovely!) + I found the beestung lips on this latest group gift to be notably superpouty.

Quiet Time

And now a break from fashion for some much-needed quiet time at our place. Gavin + I found some time to lounge on this free wooden pillows bench that's already made it's way around the feeds. The poses are particularly "loungey" + it accommodates 2 people; here's how we used it in our home.
Sometimes our place gets a li'l messy when I'm trying on shoes. I find that a cuppa free green tea (+ sweet treats like this free pink rabbit lolli) helps to soothe the shopping-stressed nerves.

Unexpected, In Canary

Sometimes you'll fall in luhs with a bright paintbox color for absolutely no reason. -- Take canary yellow, for example. 1 of my fave Stuart Weitzman wedges in RL are in this color (they lept off the shelves at me a few seasons ago). She's A Hero

You could say that Pixel Mode creator Tya Fallingbridge was the hero of Shoe Fair this year. Not only did Tya graciously swoop in to do the build for this event, but her new strappy "Fae" wedges are Your $L Are So Toast degree of cute. My fave are the dark heel; check it out.
Here's the complete look, which I paired with a free nottie ballerina dress by Vinyl Cafe (look Ma, no undies!) + a fun free tote stuffed with Twinkies -- both grabs that I spied on Milok Hermit's Mother Goose blog (such a great frugalista resource).
This is the hot-off-tha-presses latest version of the wedges, featuring cloth (instead of wood) on the heel. -- I find it interesting that so many creators are going wedge this year for their debuts. I luhs wedges in RL 'cuz they're so gosh darn comfy; wish I had this many RL adorable choices too!
In more Pixel Mode news, Tya is planning on releasing her now-famous Baby Ts heels in the much-requested white color (!) Woot for another take on what has basically become the must-have pump of SL. Look out for those coming soon!
