Shag Meh, Logo Meh

July is always a crazy month for yours truly, so rather than attempt any comprehensive Hair Fair 2011 coverage, I'm continuing to show only a select few styles that I've had a particularly fun time playing with (today, by Shag & Logo). -- These delish shorts are new by The Plastik; creator Aikea Reiko's texture work is the usual par excellence, plus you get tons o' options re: how to wear these (i.e., your choice of miniskirt, pants or shorts). *mwuahs Aikea Rieko*
After demoing the new Laq skin, I remembered how much I liked the supergirlie "Mina" face. I'm also wearing some oversized floral-themed Donna Flora jewels + the new monokini by Indyra Originals; these thick, horizontal nude-hued stripes lent this smexeh suit such a playful touch.
These 2-tone shortie nails are by Pulcino (such a treasure trove for frugalistas who don't wanna fuss with prim nails). Always amazed that so many styles are $2L or less here (including hand tattoo options too).

OK so . . . lots o' hair happenings this weekend, including the long-awaited unveiling of creator Truth Hawks' brand-new fashionista playground, Truth District. These dresses are mah girl Fae Eriksen's newest creations for the Fishy Strawberry summer collection (I saw a sneak peek on the store blog section of Style Academy). I was torn between which colors to show you here -- 'specially 'cuz no one does nude colors like Fae; soft, luscious and pink-brown -- but I also wanted you to grab these ruby-red "Nyla" jewels by Exodi, i.e., gemstones so richly detailed that it's hard to believe they're absolutely free.

It's Bewbies!

As womenz, our bewbies get pushed around, poked, prodded, stuffed (?), etc., so when I saw this free boob-shaped cuppycake + free nipple cake (shot here as a seat), I knew I had to build an image around all the ways in which we celebrate/support/show off les bewbies. Munchies Mix

Me, my gorges gf Diamondzz Destiny + our resident manshionista Gavin McGinnis were hangin' the other day when we started gettin' all grumpyface 'cuz we got a crazy case of the munchies. Luckily Famish store creator Whisper Despres intervened before the hair pulling + eye poking could begin by inviting us to sample her newest mouth treats. Here's a glimpse of the fun we had with these tasty noms.

Diamondzz is one of the most elegant people I know, so it was personally funny to me that she opted for this somewhat hostile "Anti-Valentine" mouth treat. *giggles quietly to self*
All of these Famish items are a reasonable $50L + they come with cute optional animations like sad faces or smiles. I think of Whisper as SL's resident mad scientist of mouth treats: she's been known to make things like TNT for the mouth + customizable lucky boards for the mouth (where you can insert your own pix as what you "win," LOL). Uh oh, Spaghettios do we luhs anything that celebrates the silly.

Grin & Bear It

I have a particular fondness for bears + some recent gifties + other bear-y cute finds seemed to call for a li'l showing.

I won these free cute slippers in the Mocha lucky board about a month ago + I've been parading around in them ever since. The lucky boards are giving them away in cream, dark brown + light brown colors, in addition to some girlie-girl high-cut panties. The store has moved slightly (a little down the road from its former location) so take this updated sLURL here to hit it. How cute are these li'l guys?
Kue just started a new MM board giftie, this free adorable bear pillow. It comes with 2 sits (shown here) + is such an awes thing to chillax with in front of a fire. The bear is even holding a little red heart. Awwws! Fair warning: the count is low on this MM board -- like, 10 low -- so if you want this thing, it's best to plan for an early slappy.
These earmuffs were a $20L find by Ruru@Pino @ Last Period. Aren't they ahhhdorables?
This red + black striped minidress that I'm wearing with these fluffy bear earmuffs was another $1L find at Last Period (I believe it's by MeteoRain but don't quote me on that). This belted mini is such a fun party look. I couldn't resist adding the smexeh schoolmarm glasses that are free by NALA for the Cupid Heart Hunt. Love the unique red "heart shadows" that sit below the eyes on these. Life is all about the fashion extras.
This pretty updo hair by Junwave can be found for $1L at the new KDC Hair Mall. In honor of the new opening, nearly all the vendors have set out free + $1L gifties. (Somebody please holla at me if you see a "T" in that Salon Cri-Cri lucky board -- that ribbon hair is just too kyoot!) This Junwave updo is really cute; you get 3 colors + there's a handy auto script resizer too.

Here's a close-up of the To. Die. necklace I'm wearing with this look, which is a spectacular emerald Art Deco design by Millette @ Switch. This is one of those exceptional finds that I just could not believe was a gift. This fastidiously detailed piece will set you back all of $1L.
I'll close this post with a quick shot of what struck me as being the anti-teddy bear: this red-pinned voodoo doll, which you can scoop as a photo studio with 2 poses by Tuft at the $50L Valentine's Bazaar (where I also scooped this pretty $50L Pink Fuel skin I'm wearing in these last shots). Too bad Gavin severely underestimated my superior voodoo powers here.

Golden Girl

A lazy Sunday in RL for me means coffee, lazing around, reading The New York Times real estate section + possibly motivating to do a late brunch with friends. In SL, I counteract my RL slothliness by donning a li'l gold to counteract my un-glammy mood.
This free gorges golden sequin minidress that the Cherry Girl lucky boards are giving away is so pretty; love the double-ropes bodice detail right near les bewbies. This free plum and gold-tinged clover necklace from Donna Flora added just the right splash of smoky color to this golden look.
Isn't this messy side pony cute? It's so reasonably priced at only $150L at Cherry Girl, + I love the golden brown color. I've also been meaning to show these metallic gold leggings forever, which are free from the League subscribo. Pretty gold bead-rimmed ankle booties (that you can still scoop for free from Donna Flora) capped off this golden girl look.
I have been wearing this free golden tan "Leona" skin around everywhere (luhs these uber-kissable glossy berry lips!) To get it, head to Oceane's Body Shop + join the group (which is currently still free to join); this lovely skin gift should be in the Notices for January.

These next shots showing two pretty free candy red + white lace-edged bra/panties sets (both also courtesy of the Cherry Girl lucky boards) really show off the glowy quality of this skin. Isn't the buttie cute?
It's somewhat hard to tell from the pix here, but this backside of this skin features those adorable tiny li'l indentations right above the buttie (you know, the kind you get when you're super diligent about quality time at the gym) that /me oh-so-loves. Good (Girlie Girl) Sale Grabs: Shoen + Cupcakes

Why was I humming that song ""I Feel Pretty" from West Side Story today? Oh, because I scooped these 2 pretty dresses at the ongoing sale at Schoen @ Vinyl Cafe, of course. Don't mind the crying -- it's only 'cuz these dresses were that good. Tears of joy, see.
What do you do when you can't decide which color? Why, get both of course.
I've been wearing these free U&R Dogs "Invention" bangles everywhere. The piano keyboard cuff is simply adorable, and the tiny gold notes + tiny pearls dangly chain are just precious. These round-toe stilettos by Indyra's aren't new or free, but they are such a classic buy. The stiletto heel is just-right-thick + tapers to a perfect arse-kicking point. And the stockings? One of my fave freebies finds ever: the garters-free fishnets from SHi. Such detailed quality + the scalloped lacey edges are just yum.
Every fashionista in SL was stalking the Cupcakes earlier this week for their crazy gift bags, which contained both skin packs + cute clothes together (the lucky cupcake was giving away great skins too). I'm wearing 2 of these gift skins here but actually wanted to show you these non-free dresses labeled "Halloween outfits" (but really just lovely mini-dresses in super rich pink and red hues -- there's nothing seasonal about them).
Check out the tiny rosettes + smexeh front lace-up detail on the pink one. So glad I worked out my abs today.
If you missed the free Cupcakes lucky chair/cupcake skins, don't despair: there's still a gorges free skin in a gift bag (up front near the the "Halloween" outfits) and the permanent sale section upstairs (which now has some new items). Here's one of the $25L yellow dresses with the free "fairy" skin (see how it's totally wearable all year round?) Love the dramatic under-eyeliner too.
The (not really) "fairy" skin theme inspired me to pair this outfit with my absolute favie thing this week (also not-really-fairy): this "Magic Candy Stash" sweets halo from Evie's Closet (a previously free apple bob gift; now bundled with 3 other outfits for $100L). Flying lollipops + cupcakes zooming above my head? I'm so down.
These eyes are another lovely group join gift from Ryker Beck (is there anything this woman can't do?) Her newly-minted VIP group for Exodi is still free to join; the $250L joining fee is temporarily waived for now + these shiny eyes are in the Notices (different colors worn thruout here -- I prefer the (V) series best 'cuz they're the shiniest). Here's me in the "Teal" shiny eyes, chillin' with my penguin friends outside the Cupcakes store. They are so cool -- didn't even try to mooch my candy (unlike a certain Gavin someone). I totally hearted them.
