Drowsy Winter Secrets

This post-Christmas time has been one of the funnest ever what with the Creators Stamp Rally, Designers United III, oodles of gifts + sales going on.

I took a break from all the fashionz craziness to pop into one of my favorite spots in SL, Drowsy, which always has lovely hidden secrets tucked around every corner. I happened upon some unexpected gifts here, like this cute "Winter" skin for $1L that comes complete with striped long johns, long gloves + button-down tank top attached (!) The face on it is very youthful + girlish; check out the red-nosed effect + glossy red lips action too. Kyooot.
Here's a close-up of the face on this adorable skin. Clearly, I've caught meself a li'l case of le sniffles.
Drowsy is a seasonally-changing build + I found other fun-ness here, like these tri-color long-sleeved jerseys. Several colors were just hanging around casually on a tree, ready to be plucked for $1L each.
I'm a total sucker for cute low-prim housewares, and I found these free pretty glass bottles, which will look tres pretty on Gavin + I's whitewashed window ledge. These are great for prim hogs like moi since they'll cost ya a mere 1 prim each.
I also found this adorable Christmas "bird" tree at BP and this trailing rotating lamp, with pretty yellow stars hanging off the edges. All for free or $1L.
There's even these yummehs hot red bean buns with hot steam wafting off of them that you can nab for free. Which incidentally, happen to be one of my fave sweet treats in the whole entire (RL) world.
While I was exploring, one of my favie minidresses by The Plastik, the "Shredder," came to me in this gorges "Snow" silver color version, which features tiny little multi-color snowflakes strewn all over this so-short design with the "shredded" torso center area. This was a review copy but I believe that The Plastik has their $1L December giftie fatpack still out in the front of the store. Thank you Aikea Rieko!
I paired this dress with the free sculpted booties gift by Courtisane, which are some of the funkiest boots I've seen all year. These have such luscious textures in the various sections, and I luhs how crazy the toe area is, with all the separate toe indentations. This is such a unique look + tres fun for us fashionistas who always want something a li'l different.
Gavin + I decided to try our hand at the Creators Stamp Rally (where we ran into some cool people like our new friend, fellow blogger Takeshi Ugajin). Although Gavin + I didn't quite make it any farther than the COCO store, we did discover this gorges sea plane suspended above the COCO SIM. (It was hovering above a mini snowman army, which kinda sorta gave us the giggles). This seaplane made for a perfect chillax spot.
These pics show the sit from the free female AO from the bundle of gifts at Le.Look! (this AO is the final gift, which I believe is still available until 12/31, so you still have time to grab it). It's so so kyoot. I have paid a lot of $L for AOs of all the top brands in SL + I have to say that I'm enjoying this supaflirty one so much that I haven't taken it off in days.

Here I'm wearing one of the other must-have gifties that I think have been some of the coolest scoops all year: this free black down cropped jacket by Gabriel (this was from the Beauty Avatar Couture hunt; this same jacket was/is available in a shiny silver color at the Mimi's Choice lucky board). A red longer version was available as a gift earlier this year, but the black cropped version is simply the smex. There's pretty silver buckles + pins detailing on it too, and a cool fur-trimmed hood. Plus isn't it way fun when you find something in SL that you already own in RL? Hee.
Now would also be a good time to mention how much I've been enjoying the new Belleza skin group gift. Check out the simply awes face on this skin: to me, this face gives such a mischievous blend of the sultry + the gamine. Full (but not overly full) lips give le pout + look tres sexy with such a petite nose. The group join fee is $250L but as always, so so worth it. *mwuahs* Tricky Boucher!
The jewelry I've been wearing thruout this post is from one of my fave SL jewelry designers, Donna Flora, who has some amazing gifties out right now, like the Bice Ring previously blogged here + this amethyst-encrusted floral "Camelia" choker that is simply stunning. Creator Squinternet Larnia is one of the most prolific + generous gifters on the grid, and her holiday gift comes not only with a complete necklace + earring set, but also includes a complete outfit featuring pretty gold-bead trimmed red mules and a holiday dress.
A note for all those detail freaks like moi: check out this crazy back of this necklace. 1 side is princess-cut amethysts + the other is pearls (!) This ridic level of unique detail is just one of the reasons why/me so totes hearts Donna Flora. (There's also another free modern, silver squares-motif necklace + earrings set gift in the subscribo that Captain Bacon Pizza (aka Sileny) blogged about here).
A big shout-out to all the designers who have truly made this year (and especially these SL holidays) one of the funnest ever with all of their awes + truly generous gifts.

What $37L Gets You

As some of you may know and/or suspect, I'm kinda obsessed with the peek-a-boo buttie look. I wanted to share with you an awes find I picked up while scooping the free holiday gifties at the PARADIS store. -- I've been in luhs with this store ever since I grabbed their "Spicy" tank tops some time ago, which I still think are some of the prettiest I've seen anywhere + are still currently available in a color fatpack for the low price of . . . free.
This first look pairs the pink "Spicy" tank with these smexeh $37L overall pants. No doubt this look is a tad bit naughty, but hey. Whoever said fashion was only for the timid? Hee.
I'm also wearing the new "Dolled Up" shoes by Atomic which I think are pretty brill. The round-toe platform style is way girlie-wirly + you also get a HUD to change both the bows + socks colors.
Here's the same overall pant in gold. I've paired it here with a gold bottom from Cherry Girl + a shiny black itsy-witsy, teeny-tiny top from one of my fave latex 'kini stores, Nyokos Wears.
The henna tat is a former freebie from the CyberStar BodyArt MM board (+ one of the coolest henna ones I've seen, since it wraps both the upper arms + the torso). I also luhs that this henna shade totally matches the lipstick hue from the new Tuli group gift skin (which btw, really is as good as everyone says it is. I haven't taken it off for days).
There are several other pieces at PARADIS that are similarly slashed down to this randomly low price of $37L, like this smexeh heart cutout cropped turtleneck top. I thought the free candy cane "doll key" from Kissed by Lithium was le kyootest addition to these red suspenders.
Here I'm showing the black version of this heart cutout top, which I've paired with some of my favie pieces from League, like these ribbed tights + brown mini with angels wings imprinted on the buttie area. The free BAX boots gift from Le.Look! were a total 'natch with this gray + brown look.
It's a bit hard to tell (since I realized after I did these shots that my long hair got partially in the way of showing this top . . . le grrrr) but the heart cutout on this black top is really perfectly situated for a la good bewbies tease.
FYI the PARADIS store has been doing its own 5-day mini-Advent calendar event (all 5 gifts have stayed around for the duration of the event), which gets you a skin, some supercute lingerie + other really nice things. Right-click around the Christmas tree and/or mantle to find the gifts with the "Buy" button activated for $0L. *FYI: this store is jammed today since I believe it's the final day. -- Please also note that I'm not sure when this $37L sale ends, so you might wanna scoot on ovah to PARADIS now if you like any of these looks.

This free handheld balloon gift from Miyoko Magic is tres fun. It changes color + "bobs" up and down while you are floating in the air. It's adorables and floats you around at a leisurely pace (the way a balloon should).
There's tons of awes skybox gifts now but one in particular that I wanted to mention. It's the free skybox profile picks gift by Lithium. This thing is a mere 37 prims + it's seriously awes. It comes with snow falling outside your window (which you can actually see out of); your own fireplace; several cute snuggle poses; a fur rug, complete with a few pillows; + 2 his/hers snowboards. The inside walls are this pretty multi-color brick texture. The shading + visual details in this skybox are really top-notch + this is not one to be missed.
Hope that everyone is eating lotsa yummy treats + scooping lotsa of gift bounty (in case you can't tell, I'm a total fan of the gimmies). *giggles quite unashamedly*

Strumpet Mode

I was innocently strolling around the grid when my friend Rene Caerndow spotted me + called me a "tasty strumpet." According to Rene, the term "strumpet" means "like a sassy tart, but cuter" in (the Queen's) English. Lord love the British.

Here's what I was wearing that day, plus 3 other strumpet-y dresses, tattoos + jewelry looks that are nearly all free or $1L. And the background? Just the free kick-ass photo studio group gift from Lithium. Love!
This free purple minidress from LP Design is so fierce. The silver stitching detail + "open heart" buttie cutout (rimmed with cherry red) is just too much. In a good way. In the words of RL stylist supreme Rachel Zoe, I die.This much exposed skin screams for hawtie tats, and I remembered this striking freebie back tattoo from Cyanide. The thigh gun is the former I>3 Rien lucky board tattoo gift; there's an Ace card and gun on the thigh + the words "Power Doll" etched across the tummy. I totally heart sassy tattoos.

This black dress by Hyper Culture is one of the best finds on the Mix & Mingle Hunt (which ends today so hurry if you haven't grabbed it yet). I agree with Rene that the just-peeking-out buttie (from underneath the lace edges here) is very strumpet indeed.
The black canvas of this dress really makes your skin + eyes pop, and I have fallen in luuurve my new fave eye store: Negoposi. It is such a gem for anyone who loves shiny, glowy, luminous eyes like moi. And get this: all eyes are $30L each. Amazing! There are some really cool freebies/$1L gifts at the Designer's United II showcase (the dark "crow" theme is so lovely), like these $1L Djinn & Tonic earrings: check out the teeny tiny crow dangling from each oval faceted stone. Keeping it casual is a must when trolling the grid so I slipped on SoReal's meticulously detailed sneaks, which might just be the the absolute perfect carnation pink. The level of detailed texturing on these sneakers is simply eye-popping. (For me, SoReal does for sneakers what BAX does for boots: sets the standard to beat for super-realistic textural detail). Finally, I've been wearing these $1L tough-girl finger tapes by Luck Inc. to smex up everything.
Strumpet? I'll give you strumpet. *smooches Rene*These sexy, slouchy Miel socks + the fun Sey pumpkin handbag had me at first glance, so I gladly jumped on the orange-and-black bandwagon and created this look to go with. This triple mini-pumpkin ring is so adorable, and I also adore the mini candy corn earrings. It's a bit hard to tell from this pic, but the skirt on this striped Solange dress is really unique: the skirt is made of individual "feather"-like pieces that flutter out when you move. So pretty, especially with this unique "white ink" tattoo. Here's the black and gold version of the same SoReal sneaks too.
All this orange put me in a contrary mood, so I donned some silvery rocker hair + other silver stuffs. This shaggy 'do is just as suuuupaflexi as it looks.
Atomic's pumpkin hunt is giving away some gorges skins, but their bat tattoo gift is also supacool. I matchy-matchy'ed it with this Alyssa Bijoux bat charm necklace. And these free furry black booties with stiletto heels are just darling, especially with black slouchy sox.Back to the free Lithium photo studio for a sec: this thing is so awes. The graffiti backgrounds are tres smex and it comes with props boxes that you can move around. It also comes with 4 poses, but my boo Gavin McGinnis and I were having fun playing around with the Diesel Works Halloween gift (a super generous collection of past poses gifts), including some naughty couples poses. Here's Gavin and I proving once and for all that there's nothing sexier than sprawling out on barrels full o' toxic chemical laxatives.
Gavin won this "SHOW ME YOUR BEWBS" T-shirt from the Atomic lucky chair and thought it was funny. Personally, I was reminded of the signs that shirtless dudes liked to raise above their heads while clutching beer and shouting things at girls while zooming by in pickup trucks. On the freeway. In Arizona.My "Spidey-sense" tells me that I'll be embracing my strumpet identity often from now on. Thanks Rene! You da best gf. -- Oh and what's that I hear 'bout London? How it tries to be the NYC of the European continent? *foresees a NYC vs. London throwdown in the not-so-distant future*
