Random Mini- LOTD

Hi all!  I haven't posted here in a bazillion years (apparently according to spell check bazillion is a real word...never knew that) but when I saw Tesh over at Free*Style it reminded me how I need to sneak in here for a change.  I usually come in and post something weird or spooky or creepy or something but today I am celebrating back to school!  In my photos my avs are looking over their shoulders to make sure I can post this before Tesh comes in and chases me out.  I am assuming she would chase me out of the blogging kitchen by poking/shooing me toward the door with some sort of pink, sparkly broom, while she was wearing some sort of fabulous, designer apron.

Summer Smarts

Floating Away

There's been 2 supergirlie dresses in the Ribbon lucky boards that I finally managed to grab. Love how these 3/4 sleeve dresses wear more like a fall coat.
I'm showing the free polka dot print that I thought was particularly sweet. ~ღ~And now a quick RL fashion tidbit to my RL fashion-obsessed readers (for anyone who's interested): So in my own RL designer happenings, I just took a "deskside" meeting yesterday with the Jewelry Editor of a front rack fashion/celebrity news magazine, to show her my RL jewelry designs (I do this from time to time for my jewelry line, with various fashion magazines). We had a li'l chat about Fashion Week just ending (really, 2 weeks here in NYC) + her (very insider) takeaway trends for Spring 2011 (for any non-Fashion Week folk, all the shows now were showing looks for Spring 2011) were as follows:

- Slouchy, high-waisted long pants. '70s revival. You have to wear "with a super high heel." (Personally I really hate these).
- Knee-length or tea-length (mid-calf) skirts. (So not the most flattering for shorter people btw).
- For right now (Fall 2010), camel is THE color for Fall. (Very excited that my too adorables furry camel purse is in again).
- For Spring 2011, a light "sky" blue + some pretty neutrals were showing. The bright orange thing (which appeared on a few runways during Fashion Week) is hopefully like, whatever.

"Of course," said this lovely Editor, "we will have to wait to see what happens on the European runways to know all the trends for sure." I just luhs getting the inside tips, so just thought I'd share! XD xoxo
