Miss Meshed

So . . . this week's mesh update to Phoenix Viewer was essentially an early Xmas gift for us photogs, since it meant that we got to keep Phoenix's user-friendly interface + view mesh stuff. For moi, this was a reason to show some meshy hair, clothes + shoes that I'd been wanting to style (but was too lazy to brave the annoying viewers for).
Isn't this Gaga-like thick eyeliner fierce? It's 1 of my fave new finds at the upcoming Four Corners event (stay tuned for more blog coverage of this event to follow later). I also thought this poufy, mussed, shortie hair that's new by Wasabi Pills was 'specially cute.
Like many other people, I did observe that while I luhs the way the mesh stuff moves with my AO, because my avi is so curvy, I still glimpsed "breaks" in the clothing (this will undoubtedly become less of an issue as mesh becomes more customized). -- I'm also not loving that to many folks still using (non-mesh) viewers, I basically look semi-nakey with a giant donut floating around my middle. -- Ah well, such is the price of technology.
In other photog news, hopefully y'all have been heading to Adorkable to their free 1 pose a day before Xmas. These are all sweet, soft poses + great for showing off clothes since it's nothing too angly/funky. More to Help Japan

Another shopping event is underway to aid the tragic events in Japan, this time featuring many Asian creators and donations going 100% to the Japanese Red Cross Society. On a purely selfish note, it's also your chance to grab these gorges wine-colored Kookie boots on sale (normally $500L, reduced down to $380L); the long row of eye-popping detailed "eyelets" on these boots is simply the yums.
R2 creator Rei2 Aya is also offering an exclusive white & gold version of her popular "Pumehana" boot for this event, which I paired with a free sherbety cardi for my comfy airport stroll today. A $75L lemon-lime bag by Addict provided ample room for all my fashionista travel reading.

I've Got A Hold Over You

Just to even out the emo overdose of "WUV" this week, Gavin + I wanted to show some couples poses that demonstrate um, the physical hold that one person can have over the other. LOL.

To get in the tough love mood, I slipped on the wicked new tattoo by Kaori Masala of dEVOL (it's a love poem, featuring miniscule handwriting that's etched onto the body). I paired it with this smexeh cherry "boy shorts" lingerie set by Nyte N Day that you can find for free in their subscribo + my beloved BAX boots, which now come in his yummeh cherry-red "Candy" hue (you get 4 shades of red included in a special 50% off group members sale).
The skin I'm wearing is 1 of my absolute faves by Gala Phoenix. Her new "Cupid" line has all the usual drop-dead gorges body shading that we've all come to know + love on the Curio skins + a sultry black eyeliner makeup.

A quick word about these photos: now admittedly these are not exactly what we typically show here. Still, they're way tame compared to other stuff that's out there so hopefully nobody will get their panties in a snitchy-poo. That being said, I can totally hear at least one old SL friend grumbling "Ummm too spicy!"
