Whip It Good!

OK so . . . some of the Modavia gifts are out; you kinda gotta wander the main courtyard + click around. In each of the designers' displays, you'll see the same little sign to join the Modavia Fashion Marketing (MFM) group for $0L; if there's a gift, it will likely be located just underneath or nearby (often displaying each brand's logo); make sure you're wearing the MFM group tag to click. The gloves/hat I'm showing were $1L, but the other gifts were free; generally speaking, only the designers who have already shown their collections have gifts out now (you can see the show schedule on any of the signs displayed nearby).
What I like most about Fashion Week (RL or SL) is the opportunity to push fashion into high concept. This was why I really liked this unusual riding crop free gift, i.e., something that's not necessarily just "fashion" but versatile enough for other uses. This crop didn't really "go" with this look, but I had to show it to ya (you can even control it via a handy "Whip Menu," lol).

The Collabor88 discount shopping event is turning out to be a great place for some quality hair shopping. Yesterday I showed you the lovely messy low pony style by Truth; today I'm wearing a half-up, bobbypinned style by Elikatira that I found so soft + romantic. -- Btw the whole Gentlemen Prefer Blondes thing? Totally untrue. Lol.
This sky-colored, retro belted number is a $10L gift by Indie Rose on the upcoming Platinum Hunt that I mentioned yesterday; the headband is actually a $10L LaGyo necklace gift for the same hunt that I liked better as a headband (these chunky beads feel very "now" in the hair). Meet Rocky!

I decided to take my Alaskan Husky puppy Rocky out for a walk today. He likes warehouses, which was perfect 'cuz his doggie tote is stuffed full of bones + treats + such for playing.
Rocky is part of creator Jon Haskell's brand-new line of Alaskan Husky dogs + as a special gift for Style Academy, Jon has agreed to gift his puppy tote bag for $1L for a limited time! I'm showing a teaser today 'cuz I was sooo excited for you to meet Rocky; be sure to check back re: when you can scoopie him in-store.

In the meantime, you can grab this camo bodysuit for free at Shine, which I so loved with these $1L (!) Burberry leggings + fingerless arm gloves at Shania's; my awes gold-studded, feather-trimmed vest + headband were nice accessories finds at The Sea Hole's $50L sale.

I've had a lotta questions about this arm tat + the orange slice purse that I blogged yesterday. The purse isn't quite ready yet, but you can scoopie the tat at my li'l store called Flasher (as in, adding a li'l flash to your style). Orange Ya Glad Ta See Meh

I was so eager for my fruity stroll thru the orange grove today that I forgot to put both socks on! Total fashion mortification moment. Luckily my new bunnie friend didn't seem to care; he was much more interested in whether my orangey look included any carrots (which it didn't, much to his disappointment).

SL years can be like dog years in that for no reason whatsoever, something simple often requires a hellluva lot o' effort to actually pull off. -- Mah girl Keira Seerose & co. have been organizing their CHIC Management events for over a year now, no small fait accompli in SL; not only for the amount of effort behind the yummy fashion always so reliably delivered, but as a working testament to how designers + bloggers work even better together. *mwuahs Keira, Pru, Kristy, Cat + all of the CHIC Management team*
A gangload of designers have set out special designs to celebrate CHIC's 1st year. I'm sure you'll see more of these goodies thruout the week, but I was inspired today to do a casual rock vibe via the fabby gold guitar (!) by Di's Opera. This pretty tan skin is new by Mynerva + I must note that these white-rimmed "Daisy" eyes are soooo striking, 'specially against tan skin tones.
