It can be challenging to find a natural-looking frex skin inworld, which is why I was so excited to see this fresh, youthful "Luna" freckled face by Glam Affair (another Collabor88 find).
The pert nose & full lips add a touch of insouciance to this otherwise innocent face; i.e., a great face to slip on when you're trying to get away with something, hehe. A burnt orange trench by Emery & this loose, draped, multi-braided "Verinne" hair new by Truth added a touch of ginger zest to this modern boho look.

The newest round of Collabor88 has the dewy-eyed theme of "Into The Light," which most of the creators have interpreted as soft, muted colors, modern draping and a touch of girlish whimsy.
Check out the meticulous details that creator Marie Lauridsen has packed into her modern 2-piece dress for Milk Motion: a petite, folded collar tucks like demure petals just above the collarbone; the bust area drapes flatteringly around the waist, anchored by bars of modern gold hardware; while an asymmetrical bias of the skirt adds just a touch of seductiveness to this clean, modern style. A new fresh-faced frex skin by Glam Affair, sideways-tilted bun & these bowtie Mary Janes finished this feminine, yet decidedly avant-garde, look.

I Want My MTV.

Hopefully y'all are all caught up on the ratings-shattering TV phenom that was Empire's debut season (I just binge-watched the entire thing). That complete-with-smoke-machine cover of the original Dire Straights track was so utterly entertaining to watch (mostly 'cuz it showed old geezers gleefully rockin' out to the show's commercial hip-hop rendition of it), which seemed like a fitting segueway to the brand-new round that just opened at Collabor88, which similarly takes its theme from a classic '80s flick and punks it up a bit for a fun stylistic throwback today.
Now admittedly, the only stylistic misfits here are these thin, strappy, much more 2015 than the '80s stiletto sandals by Hucci, but I just couldn't resist their sleek, mile-high 'tude -- so I kept them on, hehe.

A fresh, poppy-hued shirtdress is a fine way to kick your winter doldrums to the curb.
This bright shirtdress by Fishy Strawberry was the perf way to Spring up my mood today, which I accented with black and gold tones in the form of this new birds-printed round satchel (soon to be found at the new round of Shiny Shabby), which I paired with some new gold-toned & rose crystal jewelry by The Plastik + this casually tousled, chin-lenth strawberry blonde 'do (another Collabor88 find). -- Btw I must add, even if you own oodles of Glam skins, this "Katra" skin at Skin Fair 2015 is most def worth a demo; I found this pink-toned eyeshadow + lips combo to be tres high fashion + these bow-shaped lips in particular were so sultry.

My old friend Aikea Rieko of The Plastik is debuting a new line of skins at Skin Fair 2015, which come with painted/battle-themed/smokey eyeshadowed makeups (and these scrumptious frex) that invite a touch o' fantasy (i.e., a fine time to trot out the ol' jewel-encrusted crowns, hehe). Clean Casual.

An asymmetrical hair, some pearl-dotted leggings + the slate color of this sweater & cardigan coat set (that I can't bear to take off) + I was ready for a quick jaunt thru one of my fave architectural spaces on this planet, The Getty (this is actually just a heavily processed sketch of another interior space by living legend Richard Meier, but you get some idea of his airy, clean, soaring aesthetic).

Silver Foxette.

I couldn't resist strolling thru an Italian piazza today, which felt 'specially comfy in this casual new jersey dress by Maitreya + some pretty new silver-toned accessories that you can scoopie at the latest round of Collabor88.

The rich themes at Collabor88 are so much fun each month (this month: "Miami Electric!") that I deliberately wanted to style a more neutral-toned look, to demonstrate just how versatile this monthly event can be (which btw still remains 1 of the best shopping events on the grid). The dark teal nails are a $5L giftie (see the Styling Credits below), courtesy of a fabby nail hunt for SLink hands (how fun is that)! + my sparkly strawberry bubblegum comes in all sorts of fun colors (another Collabor88 find). -- Speaking of which, when was the last time you blew a bubble? With actual bubblegum? Well, maybe it's about that time again. *snaps gum; chews loudly*

Goddess of Night.

Nyx, goddess of night, daughter of Khaos and mother to many other deities, spurned daylight in favor of the moon's cooling rays. Older and more powerful than Zeus (who deferred to her wishes), Nyx could be either mankind's friend or foe, and could bring either sleep or death. -- The lady also practically invented smokey eyeliner, hehe.
Even the irresistible Cupid tried to woo the mighty Nyx. But she tricked him and left a basset hound in her place (gods have a strange sense of humor). This month has been tres fun playing with all the Homeric elements at Collabor88's bday celebration. Get ready, 'cuz The Arcade is coming very soon!
