Circus Sideshow

"Circus" by Britney Spears has been running thru my head, so when the new Le Cirque designer event kicked off yesterday, it was kinda like fashion + music sync-a-palooza.
This fluttery new "ruffle" dress by Miamai, combined with the new skin by Atomic Bambi, felt so totally right for my circus performer mood.
Tightropes are a tricky business. Especially in these lovely Kookie platform wedges. Hee.
These swings are such a great cardio workout.
If this doesn't bring in the crowds, not sure what will. *adjusts thong*

Gaga Girl

Lady Gaga's "Paparazzi" is one of my absolute favie, to die videos of all time. As pop star fashion icons go, it's actually hard to believe that we haven't yet done a SLexy homage to this superfabulista.
The latest R.icielli gifts quickly remedied that situation. Plucked straight outta the"Paparazzi" closing scene, this free yellow Mickey Mouse high-waisted skirt + free vamp-collared vest are like a Gaga Girl dream come true. Free ribboned pumps by Volt were such a fun touch; the free sexy schoolteacher glasses were just 'cuz.

Toy Story

This is the story of a rabbit named Gyaku-Usagi. Let's call him GU for short.
GU was a happy rabbit. Sure, he had a few run-ins with Linden Labs (specifically, they used words like "anti-establishment" and "needs attitude adjustment") but such unpleasantries aside, life was good for this not-so-petite rabbit.

One day, GU was wandering around the grid when he happened to overhear Gavin McGinnis saying loudly (to whoever would listen), "Rabbits? Pfffft. Second Life would be so much better without those overgrown pests wandering around the grid. They're such weaklings too, always looking for carrots + veggies + stuff. Ha!"
GU also noticed Gavin's unfortunate choice of fashion.All of this made GU mad.
GU decided to teach Gavin a lesson. Just when Gavin finished his anti-rabbit lecture, GU decided the moment had come to show Gavin who's boss. "Weak? Who's the weakling now?" demanded GU.
GU dragged off Gavin to his favorite grassy area. He made sure to go over all the big rocks and tree stumps.
GU stuck Gavin in a cage to make him think about the unkind things he'd said. This was a wake-up call for Gavin, since Gavin hadn't had a time-out since he was like, 5 years old.
Gavin tried to chill out GU by showing him his favorite rabbit mouth toy.
But this only made GU madder. "Dressing up one of my fellow rabbits? And then wearing him . . . on your mouth?" Wow was GU P.O.'ed.

GU thought the cage would hold Gavin, but when GU wasn't looking, Gavin quickly jammed the door open + grabbed GU.
GU countered by giving Gavin a forced bunneh hug. This really freaked Gavin out.
GU finally let Gavin go. Gavin ran away. Far, far away. To this day, Gavin is still a trash-talker, but he can't hear the word "rabbit" without suppressing a shudder. Long tall bunneh ears frighten him too.

A Rainy Day

It had been so long since they had seen each other and she was nervous. Would he remember her? Or would he feel like a stranger? The rain provided cover. It surrounded her, cold and uncertain.
As she approached, he merely drew her in under his umbrella. The rain fell quietly around them. The pitter-patter sound was oddly comforting.
He held her so she wouldn't get wet. Her fabulous pink suede boots took a drenching, but she somehow didn't care.
Without a word, he pulled her close. She shivered, feeling his body shield his. The rain suddenly felt warm.
The railway tracks were wet, but they didn't mind at all. She inched closer to him. She was home.

Oh Shiz, Somebody Let Loose Mah Stray Pig

One of my fave stores for grungy cute stuffs, Stray Pig (which has 3 lucky boards w/ free adorable animals btw) is having a mini-hunt right now where you can grab all kinds of cute things. I have literally zero time today *stabs RL* so I'm gonna point you in the direction of the web page which details all the info. Google Translate, man. Cage Me In This Urban Jungle

I was wandering thru the stunning urban build of Kowloon when amidst the avalanche of weekend sales notices, I got a notecard that Tyranny Designs skins were on sale for $400L for 1 week. This is the "Dinah" skin that I scooped, featuring this luscious red berry lip and a full "lower apple" of the cheek. So girlish + lovely, especially with the free Hal*Hina hair gift, this time in shiny soft black hue I just lurve. See how it's the awes?
I was in a gritty pritty gal kinda mood, so I slipped on the new Luck Inc. "Tease Dress," which has these unusual "curling" prims that fold over les bewbies + lace-up strings holding together the sliver-ish fabric panels. The colors from this store are always so rich, making their smexeh styles all that much more fun to wear.
I don't know about you, but I always like to wear my barely-there dresses whilst posing in a giant cage.
Ya kinda need some pasties (like these free blood red ones from Dark Eden) to parade around in this thing in public. You also get another version of this dress that provides more cover, but hey, who wants to wear that version? Heh.

Pardon Moi While I Strangle This Bunneh

I happened upon these suuuperfun colorful "fingerpaints" tattoos at Etch'd + I just had to build a look around them. These playful swipes of body paint across my arms, back of thighs + chest were so fitting for my crayon color mood.
This retro-striped minidress I'm wearing is the newest creation from Hucci + features this rather spectacular side ruffle. I really like this luscious color combo of candy grape purple and nude beige too; as my friend Dream might say, it's drama mama good. *mwuahs Eboni Khan*
I'm also showing what's gotta be one of the best jewelry finds this week: these absolutely gorges sherbert pink cuffs by Mandala, scoopable for the whopping price of $1L. Just in time for warm weather feminine styles. To. Die.
This free poor li'l guy got sent to me just in time for him to get strangled by my fashionista poses. Poor bunneh goes Gaaack! He even has a little sign (presumably 'cuz he can't talk). -- Hey, fashion is brutal. There are casualties.
The newest free Hal*Hina hair group gift is really worth a grab. It's a soft, pretty bob style with a little barrette in front; you get the whole color fatpack in the gift. And even though I'm not showing it, the "soft black" color in the fatpack gift is one of the nicest blacks I've seen on the grid. Take it from someone who lurves me some black hair.
My free socks + shoes, in this fabulous blue and green combo, were also tres perfect for my crayon colorful mood (see the Styling Credits for pic). *mwuahs* to mah girl Val Chau for showing me these awes finds!

Gettin' Lucky at Cherry Girl

The lucky boards at Cherry Girl have rotated in some nice newish gifts, all of which exude this store's tastefully sexy aesthetic. Check out some of the free goodies that I was lucky enough to win here.
I absolutely luhs this party dress. It's suuuperfloaty when you wear it (i.e., way fun) + the tiny lace edging just peeking outta the babydoll skirt bottom is so precious. Love the subtle ribbing texture on this bodice too. Plus unlike some of their pieces here, this skirt is mod (so you can shorten it). -- Ahhh so perfect for sunny porch loungin'.

Check out this unusual "red leopard" minidress. The skirt is so cute: slightly scrunched over the hip line and super short. I also like this unusual combo of a lace corset + a wrap look for such a small miniskirt. Red suede BAX knee-high boots were a 'natch with this look.
This jewel-toned periwinkle lingerie set totally caught my eye for its open lace texture + scalloped edging on the bra.
I've long been a fan of the Cherry Girl blonde hair. There's a bit of brightness added to these hairs, making these blondes look more like a warm honey blonde with brown lowlights in them. This is one of the free lucky board styles. See how nicely this color captures the light?
