Look Like A Lady, Work Like A Boss.

Now that every RL jeweler's frenzied hell Valentine's Day is over, I can finally show you some lovely things from my fave monthly event on the grid, Collabor88, which has returned with the sweeping theme of "Imagination." Look for a lively mix of colors, pastels & fanciful moods; I particularly loved how Intrigue Co. creator Katharine McGinnis' animated "Kaleidospecs" glasses tickled my fancy (check out the painted "jazz hands" frames!) + these over-the-top, feather-plumed "Phoenix" wings by Boom made me hope that somebody works these wings into RuPaul-styled blog post soon, heh. And in skin whore news, anyone who reads this blog knows that I was absolutely obsessed with Illusory's "Paige" skin for a looong minute; I was therefore beyond excited to see that creator Crushed Clarity has brought back a paler version with cherry red glossy lips (!) for this round of Collabor88. Needless to say, this drop-dead gorge skin was on my avi faster than you can say vintage pinup. -- There's so much to love about this dollfaced skin; its I might look like a lady but it's all rawr + Martinis in the bedroom expression is truly brill.

And when all else fails, plonk yo'self down + have a bit o' chocolate.

I must also mention that this romantically sideswept ponys hair by Truth is on sale for $88L at Collabor88 (!); so any ponytail fiends like moi will wanna snap this one up sooner than you can say truck driver mouth.

After this week in RL, I'll be needing all the help I can get to maintain any sort of ladylike exterior. Look like a lady, work like a boss love + fashionista kisses to all!

These hard-to-find free melted chocolate leggings (which Gavin found for me today, hehe) put me in a candy-colored mood today. Hugged To Death

Kiki The Clown knew she only had moments to win over Death. She had heard he was in a grim mood + was only too aware of the devastating havoc Death could wreak on mankind if his foul temper got the better of him. She even put on her special "Space Invaders" necklace + her most fetching pumpkin bag to help.
"Hugs," she thought suddenly. "Nobody can resist a hug!"

Death soon came ambling around the corner.
Death was sooo over those freaking disrespectful humans, especially around Halloween. -- People dressing up + impersonating him? The whole giant scythe as accessory thing? And all for some stupid candy? Please!

He was just about to curse humanity into oblivion once and for all when he heard a girlish voice call out to him.

"Oh Deathie-Poo, gimme a hug!" cried Kiki.

"What's all this?" thought Death. "I'm Death, for Chrissakes! I don't "do" hugs!"
Still, Death allowed the colorful girl to hug him. She felt warm and cuddly. He noticed that she smelled nice too.

"Hey, this feels good," thought Death.
Kiki giggled. Death didn't seem like the terrifying evil demon that everybody said he was. Plus she was definitely gonna have to look into the whole saving the world thing as a new career move. All that clown stuff was getting to be a snooze anyway.

Knock Me A Li'l Couture Tease

The CHIC Management folks have put together another fashion event called The Call for Couture kicking off on October 10th, with each store offering both 1 ready-to-wear item + 1 couture auction item. I'm showing you a li'l teaser today since I fell in luhs with the Fishy Strawberry ready-to-wear dress, which struck me as a sweet piece of iced pink confectionery. Tres girlie + just my style; and as you can tell by this pic, conjuring visions of other sweets too. *mwuahs Fae Eriksen*
This floaty dress didn't need much to accessorize, but I had fun girlie-ing up this look with other sweet treats: a free strawberries nose bandaid, a $3L pink macaroon "hat" + this lovely free body tat by Lostwood. A new tan skin by Heartsick put me a summery mood, which I thought was tres appropro for this breezy tank dress.
