Look Like A Lady, Work Like A Boss.

Now that every RL jeweler's frenzied hell Valentine's Day is over, I can finally show you some lovely things from my fave monthly event on the grid, Collabor88, which has returned with the sweeping theme of "Imagination." Look for a lively mix of colors, pastels & fanciful moods; I particularly loved how Intrigue Co. creator Katharine McGinnis' animated "Kaleidospecs" glasses tickled my fancy (check out the painted "jazz hands" frames!) + these over-the-top, feather-plumed "Phoenix" wings by Boom made me hope that somebody works these wings into RuPaul-styled blog post soon, heh. And in skin whore news, anyone who reads this blog knows that I was absolutely obsessed with Illusory's "Paige" skin for a looong minute; I was therefore beyond excited to see that creator Crushed Clarity has brought back a paler version with cherry red glossy lips (!) for this round of Collabor88. Needless to say, this drop-dead gorge skin was on my avi faster than you can say vintage pinup. -- There's so much to love about this dollfaced skin; its I might look like a lady but it's all rawr + Martinis in the bedroom expression is truly brill.

And when all else fails, plonk yo'self down + have a bit o' chocolate.

I must also mention that this romantically sideswept ponys hair by Truth is on sale for $88L at Collabor88 (!); so any ponytail fiends like moi will wanna snap this one up sooner than you can say truck driver mouth.

After this week in RL, I'll be needing all the help I can get to maintain any sort of ladylike exterior. Look like a lady, work like a boss love + fashionista kisses to all!

Getcha Hair Did: Shorties Showcase

Hair Fair 2011 is upon us + proceeds from all of the styles will benefit Wigs for Kids (vs offering individual donation "styles") -- thus assuring that everyone most def shops for charity. *mwuahs Sasy Scarborough, Ashia Tomsen + all the Hair Fair 2011 team*
I've been wearing lots o' longer styles recently, so I was particularly interested what "shortie" styles were on offer this year. These were some of the cutest I've found so far; I must add that this poofy, mini-ponys updo above by Illusory is just my flav of supergirlie.
I ran into mah girl Estella Magic at the blogger's preview, who convinced me to try this newish "Mad" color pack by Lamb (does this rich, candy-coated color remind you of a triple-flavor Napoleon ice cream for the head or what)? Luhs!
This samurai mini-pony updo by Wasabi Pills was so freakin' adorables that I just had to show it to you (fair warning: I wasn't able to mod it, but I've also been experiencing some chronic @#$! viewer issues). -- Stylistically, I really love it when styles successfully marry a bit o' bad girl with a bit o' kawaii. -- As in, See mah big badass gun mister? Just you look at it whilst I finish this here pink ice cream. Hehe.

I'm also showing the gift from DCNY, this free retro monokini with pretty metal loops hardware. I paired this silver fox look with the new "Tatiana" style by Truth out this week, featuring this glamorous "cascade" of feathered, half-curly locks. *mwuahs Truth Hawks*

While I was at DCNY, I noticed that I'd somehow missed this icy white, "feather" babydoll dress former gift, which was quietly hanging out on the $1L wall. (Yep that's my homie Fantastic Mr. Fox. He likes to lurk in the corner. Heh).
This bob "Penny" hairstyle I'm wearing is also new by Truth + a reminder of how versatile the more classic styles can be (i.e., highly brill for either dress-up or dress-down). Plus I'm a sucker for anything with a barrette in it (especially just tucked away near the ear, like this).
