Royal living love + fashionista kisses to all!
Hair: /Wasabi Pills/ @ Fairy Tales 2012 - Princess Mesh Hair - Chocolate (new!) *mwuahs MissAllSunday Lemon*
This Exile hood hair has been flooding the blog rounds, but I couldn't resist styling it with this new pleated dress by Baiastice that you can grab at the Fairy Tales 2012 event. -- This mini-pleated mesh dress is 1 of the major fashion finds at this event (btw teeny tiny pleats are the only way I'll attempt to wear pleated styles in RL); not only are the pleats notably well done, but the thin gold belt detail is spot-on perfect with this super chic dress. -- I also must say that it's a testament to the designers that despite the "costumey" theme of this event, nearly everything is versatile enough to style into non-costumey, wearable "everyday" looks (this is key, since nobody wants to wear a costume every day of the week).
If you know the Glam Affair brand, you know that co-creators Aida Ewing and M4ri1yn Magic are all about creating stark, dramatic visualizations of fashion and beauty. Their passion for styling + creating is why I'm so thrilled to tell you about their new event called Fairy Tales 2012: not only is the creator lineup a who's who of designers -- check out how each store booth is actually a mini-"stage," each visual tableau more lovely than the last -- but the theme is a li'l magic + a lotta fashion, i.e., 2 things that we can all use a healthy dose of.
My new friend Muffaletta and I decided to take a countryside stroll today. Some brand-new mesh separates by creator Moca Loup for her beautiful Tram line (love the skinny tie + ruffles on the top; the skirt swishes really nicely around the legs too) + a new free bucket bag by Le Poppycock made this the perfect summer countryside stroll. *scratches Muffaletta* -- He's little, but he still likes belly rubs. Hehe.
These opaque gem rings are sooo something I would wear in RL -- and new + on sale, and totally worked with this vibrant color palette. Love!
No summer would be complete without a maxi dress, and I'm loving this new flowy black one by Baiastice, which oozes elegance with layered ruffles. Black bangles added a monochromatic touch; crimson lips + nails supplied the only splashes of color.
Hopefully y'all grabbed these fabby blood-red eyes from the IKON VIP group Notices (not sure if the group is still free to join). -- Been watching too much True Blood lately, heh (was anyone else laffing at that grumpy yet super useless Law & Order guy? Come on!)
If summer isn't the best time to mix 'n match brights + blacks, I don't know what is. Colorplay love + fashionista kisses to all!
I can never resist ponys, and this week's dreamy new "Leticia" style by Truth features a swept-over pony that splits in the back, featuring natural meshy movement. This style was a 'natch with this free sheer nightie by Chocolate Atelier + free teddy, both gifts that you can find at the new reopening of the stunning Voc Linda SIM.
The lingerie set comes with teeny tiny pearls in the thong + these fabby long gloves featuring a string finger attachment; so nice to such loving details in a free gift.
The SIM rebuild of Voc Linda is a lonely, desolate place, full of quiet tableaus perfect for photogs. The Deviant Girls store itself is spooky wonder: check out the locked up crazy dude (plunk down on the sofa with him in the wired-off central prison section), some dusty patio furniture (with still-smokin' cigarettes) + even a neon Hello Kitty sign. It's dark macabre meets kitch, i.e., chilling yet lighthearted moods sprung from the imagination of creator Ruby69kill Moonites.
Summer tends to be when our styles relax a bit, which is why it's particularly fun that Tokidoki creator Maya Levane's newest releases remind us how to dress up summer a bit. Check out her lovely cream-colored blazer (featuring a subtle gold puzzle print), which I paired with her casual-yet-fancy cream "studded" loafers (so NYC Upper East Side!), together with this gorges kelly green mini by Whippet & Buck (yet another new Collabor88 gem). -- A softly tousled, shoulder-length hair (new by Truth this week), some long pearl drop earrings + a summer fruity purse helped pull it all together.
So many new releases to show you today, including the new summer line by Maitreya (i.e., creator Onyx LeShelle once again elevating the quality benchmark for the beautiful "flowy" quality of mesh; check out the scrumptious "fabric" folds in the top + dress!), which I styled with some fun shoes + accessories hailing from the newest installment of Collabor88 (this month featuring a "shindig" party theme for showcasing vibrant citrus colors). -- I must also add that these colorblocked suede tote bags are sooo something that I would snatch up in RL; in particular, the rich butterscotch 'n camel color combo is simply to. die. *mwuahs Onyx LeShelle*
Also luhs that these mesh tops come with colorful beaded jewelry as the "halter" top. No need to accessorize!
As usual, the $88L & under price tag at Collabor88 means that the finest creators on the grid are (for still puzzling reasons) offering their newest + best at these reduced prices. Among the plethora of "discount" events, this monthly venue continues to set the standard for sales events on the grid; it's 1 of my hands-down faves that I continue to look forward to every month. -- This glowy, dramatic yellow eyeshadow + cherry-lipped skin by Glam Affair is 1 of the major scoops at Collabor88 this round; the belted, bias-cut dress (also by Glam Affair) is another flirty find here as well (the dreamy aqua color is also not to be missed).
