Springtime, By Tram

As promised, more from creator Moca Loup's Spring collection for her flawless Tram brand. I've blogged Moca's stuffs 4evs 'cuz she really is 1 of the grid's masters of the floaty girlie dress; a free "Peep-ing Tom" (this naughty guy has really been getting around the feeds!) + a free panda ice cream by Love Soul kept me company during my dreamy countryside moment.
Moca is also offering her fabby "chiffon blow" necklaces in new yummie pastel stripes; such a 'natch with her uber-feminine pieces. -- I must add that I sooo appreciate how flawlessly the Tram pieces are executed: from the suuuperfloaty skirts (so fun to wear!) to teeny tiny details like black lace cap sleeves, these delicious deets truly make a fashionista's heart go Buy Meh, Yes Now! *mwuahs Moca Loup*
I found this fun skateboard satchel at the Void $1L everything closing sale (everyone can thank Gavin for this tip!); dollarbie prices are so perfect for scooping fun scary stuff like gas masks, etc. -- Maybe I'll go dark + scary one of these days; Fantasy Faire is happening now so it might be the perfect time. Heh.

This beautifully sheer floral dress I'm wearing is new by Tram; I couldn't resist some tasty mouth beads to go with. I'll try to show more of creator Moca Loup's Spring line in my next post; initially debuting at To One Lounge, these are now available in her store, including some fabby pastel striped chiffon bow necklaces that I just love.

Fashion. Is. Love.

Hunts will come + go, but the fashionista in me was so tickled by the name of the newest hunt organized by our friends at LP Design + Garage that I just had to shamelessly crib it for this post title. *double mwuahs Liberty Shinn + Slava Parkin*

The "Fashion Is Love" hunt kicked off yesterday here + there's tons of yummies free for the scooping (check the list of participating stores at the hunt blog site here). -- I was in a mood for neutrals, so I'm showing gifts that offer 2 takes on gray: slate + silver, both inspired by this free gray headband hair that's newly free at the Kik lucky board.
This first slate gray minidress by Sassy Kitty is clean + simple (I've been in a modernist fashion mood lately, so I left off the ripple skirt prim), which is also the perfect canvas to show off this oversized heart pendant by Garage. -- To this RL jewelry designer, this ruby-red gem is rather like collarbone candy. Yums.
This romantic dress by A&A Fashion swings waaay over to the other side of the style spectrum. Teeny tiny beading + a daringly asymmetric, lace-trimmed waist is what makes this daring concoction straddle that smexeh line between lingerie + clothing. I absolutely fiend for pieces that blur this stylistic line; plus the sheer fabric texture + hems trailing into the tummie make it tres couture. And don'tcha just love it when the color of a garment heightens the overall sense of a piece? This wispy, silvery color totally plays up the super-delicate feel of this semi-sheer look. To. Die.

I was also struck by these "Ladybug" pumps, which come courtesy of furniture (!) store MB-CreationZ. Their monthly subscribo gifts are always the cuteness + these pumps really do remind me of the kind of detail this store has become known for in their furniture. I'm diggin' this pretty sage green hue too. Awwws.

Utopia, in Blue

Word to my fellow SL explorers: a truly spectacular SIM showcase has kicked off in honor of the World's Fair in RL. Linden Labs has donated 5 SIMs towards these "Utopia" builds, which feature creators like Bryn Oh and her lonely, eerie landscapes. -- Check out this half-drowned merry-go-round. Cool eh?
I just had to explore these in this sky blue bodysuit that's free courtesy of the Pig lucky boards. Some newish Truth hair + Laq redhead "Julie" skin + I was ready for my Utopian travels.
What I love about Bryn Oh's builds is the uneasy balance she strikes between the warm, rosy glow of nostalgia + the dark dread of futuristic horror. Spindly metal arcs + massive stone formations cut striking silhouettes against the sky. It's like walking thru sculpture.
The sounds are also striking. A whirring of metal here, a metallic slicing noise there. Enormous glowing blocks materialize out of nowhere for you to tread on. Everywhere, you are alone amidst isolated structures + pooling water. And that's just SIM 1!
As a caveat, these were shot on my own Windlight settings (since for whatever reason, Gavin and I couldn't get the recommended WL settings to work). I'm sure they look much more awes on the recommended. Le grrr.

All the SIMs are full of hidden secrets, like this phonograph tucked into a glowing sculpture, which plays "I'm In The Mood For Love" and a sweetly tinkling "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" while droning bees buzz all around your face (you can hear their ominous swarming sound).
A message from Bryn Oh, alongside egg-like formations of gestation and mechanized birth. I also loved how there was some utterly random trinket next to this that was $5,000L. Hee.
As a nod to the RL home to the World's Fair in Shanghai (in RL), the visual art theme centers around a Chinese folk tale of "The Whisper Tree," where you can whisper to a tree what's missing (each of the SIMs are "missing" something, from "sound" to "energy"). -- Check the Styling Credits below for a shot of the tree in Utopia 5, which I thought was one of the most spectacular of all.

We SLifers know that this is truly one of the most amazing things about SL: to lose yourself in this crazy metaverse of fantasy and imagination. It's all about the meta, baby.

You can see these spectacular SIMs thru (I believe) October, when they will be dismantled. *mwuahs* to Bryn Oh + all the other creators for creating something truly fantastic for us. Love + fashionista (explorer) kisses to all!
