Strange Things You Find In the Desert

As most frugalistas know by now, Somapop has organized a hunt for 27 free gifts hidden within its Sanctuary Isle build + there are some really worthy finds here. This free athletic undereye tat, free superfloaty skirt + free "arm bowtie" black top (all spoils from this hunt) seemed appropo for my trip to the desert today.
A free Coke kept me hydrated, while this free grumpy 'n crusty hedgehog (who I named Sylvester Stallone) surprised me by jumping into my purse (I think he was after the Coke). -- Turns out, the Grand Canyon didn't really impress Sylvester Stallone so much. (He did enjoy the Coke tho').

Pinky Does Black Friday

In the mad rush of SL (and RL) shopping this Black Friday, there's 2 events worth checking in-world. The upcoming $10L With Love From . . . hunt has already proliferated the feeds; I'm showing a few of those goodies here. -- As you can see, I didn't trust this fancy fete to have yummy treats, so I snuck in my own. *licks cuppycake*

I'm also showing the gift from DCNY, this free retro monokini with pretty metal loops hardware. I paired this silver fox look with the new "Tatiana" style by Truth out this week, featuring this glamorous "cascade" of feathered, half-curly locks. *mwuahs Truth Hawks*

While I was at DCNY, I noticed that I'd somehow missed this icy white, "feather" babydoll dress former gift, which was quietly hanging out on the $1L wall. (Yep that's my homie Fantastic Mr. Fox. He likes to lurk in the corner. Heh).
This bob "Penny" hairstyle I'm wearing is also new by Truth + a reminder of how versatile the more classic styles can be (i.e., highly brill for either dress-up or dress-down). Plus I'm a sucker for anything with a barrette in it (especially just tucked away near the ear, like this).
