I've been doing a bit of RL traveling lately, so when I saw these free sticker-tagged suitcases by The Kid Company, I knew I had to build a comfy casual look around 'em.
It's also been a minute since I've shown some gifties, so I thought it'd be fun to style a 100% gratis look for you today. I've Got Le.Look!

I was both surprised + deeply gratified to get a coveted invite by that most thoughtful ambassador of all things SL, Strawberry Singh, to be this month's guest stylist at Le.Look! -- The (dream) fashionista assignment: to style, photograph + create 3 images showing a female + male look, using items by the A-list group of Le.Look! stores.
I had first noticed this retro-fab, 1-shoulder top & feather pants (!) ensemble on Style Academy since it oozed that certain ooh la la, je ne sais quoi of glam South Beach nightlife (i.e., downtown chic with just a touch of flamboyance), which inspired me to theme these shots around the concept of "Miami Nights." -- As with all new photography challenges, I wanted to push myself to try something new; for me, this was in-world shooting for 2 out of 3 of these images for this pictorial (vs creating backgrounds in good ol' trusty Photoshop). Take a look.

How To Arrive Fashionably Late

There's a new CHIC Management event kicking off every week, starting this Sunday at 4 pm SLT. Expect this new series -- smartly dubbed "Fashionably Late" -- to host the usual stellar roster of designers, including Fishy Strawberry creator Fae Eriksen, who's debuting this summery, club-ready sequin minidress that I loved in a frosted metallic hue. Shimmery nude ankle booties by House of Fox, a messy new LOGO shoulder-length hair + some dark-toned accessories helped dress up this casual, fawn-colored look.
For any fellow hat fiends, I wanted to note this exceptional straw cap by Tram; it's already been plastered all over the feeds 'cuz it's impeccably textured (I totes recommend picking one up immediatement).

July is always a crazy month for yours truly, so rather than attempt any comprehensive Hair Fair 2011 coverage, I'm continuing to show only a select few styles that I've had a particularly fun time playing with (today, by Shag & Logo). -- These delish shorts are new by The Plastik; creator Aikea Reiko's texture work is the usual par excellence, plus you get tons o' options re: how to wear these (i.e., your choice of miniskirt, pants or shorts). *mwuahs Aikea Rieko*
After demoing the new Laq skin, I remembered how much I liked the supergirlie "Mina" face. I'm also wearing some oversized floral-themed Donna Flora jewels + the new monokini by Indyra Originals; these thick, horizontal nude-hued stripes lent this smexeh suit such a playful touch.
These 2-tone shortie nails are by Pulcino (such a treasure trove for frugalistas who don't wanna fuss with prim nails). Always amazed that so many styles are $2L or less here (including hand tattoo options too).
