Desert Sky

Weekend sales have become so crazy on the grid that it's no longer "if" anything is on sale, it's "which" stores are on sale. Amidst all the bounty this weekend, I wanted to highlight Zaara's 50% off storewide sale that's already thoroughly made the blog rounds, but is truly worth mentioning again for any last-minute stragglers (normally, moi) before it ends tomorrow (on Sunday 6/13/10).
Zaara's highly detailed pieces are normally out of frugalista range -- just 1 reason why their jewelry + clothing are a total must-grab at slashed prices. These beautifully finished pieces totally channel an airy, relaxed glam that make me the teeniest bit homesick for my inner Desert Girl.
I also must give a huge *mwuahs* to my girl Jasmine Pixelmaid for insisting that I get these "Mitya" Zaara shorts. ZOMG do I love these things (you were so right gf!) The little drawstring ties on the sides add the most scrumptious detail too. I found the fatpack to be very necessary in life. Heh.

I'm also showing an incredibly detailed belt which you can grab for free at the Muu Workshop lucky boards. The metal round loop detailing is really superb + it even includes a little "open belted" area to hold ciggies. -- I find that belts are somewhat hard to find really well finished, + I must say that this leather one ranks among my all-time faves (love the dangling keys too).

Some Beautiful Things From Some Beautiful People.

My friends over at Redgrave sent the most beautiful things my way this week, like this absolutely divine new "Zuri" skin. In a world obsessed with the teeny tiny nose, I love how this skin embraces a realer vision of beauty. Siren red lips, sultry makeup + a speckling of frex make this skin supersmex. Yeah, I'll be wearin' this one for awhile. *mwuahs Emilia Redgrave*
I'm also showing the free G Field floral halter that everyone + their mother has already blogged + for good reason: this top is sooo feminine. This pic also shows why it pays to stay in the Hair Solutions subscribo: this free "Olivia" gift given out earlier this week is seriously sensual; the way it moves is just the lushness. -- Subscribo. Speaking of hair, a certain Mr. Truth Hawks was determined to drive me crazy this week. After I publicly bitched that he + his fabby hairstyles were sucking out all my $L, the man goes + drops his 3 latest styles this week on me. -- You are a very naughty man, Truth Hawks. *mwuahs Truth Hawks*
This new "Marnie" Truth hairstyle, featuring these dyed feathered pieces that prettily frame the face, inspired this bad-girl after hours look, which is really all about hair + the accessories. The spectacular zebra tights I'm wearing are free by Sheer + my long elbow gloves, complete with a disco-y silver shimmery texture, came to me free via the SD Wears MM board. My free waist-scrunched tank top is the latest Miamai subscribo gift (there's um, an interesting saying on the back) + I'm also showing the white anklet socks version of those crazy Pixel Mode "Baby Ts" stilettos that I'm in love with.
Speaking of shoes, the Redgrave folks have been busy. Creator Viola Leigh just debuted these "Madonna" ankle boots this week + they are so sweet. Check out this lush "Nacre" color (I must say that as a RL jewelry designer, I so totally died for this color name -- "nacre" is the name of the natural oyster essence + shimmery coating which renders pearls luminescent). This double zipper detail trailing thruout this shoe makes me want these in RL. *mwuahs Viola Leigh*
The dress I'm showing with these shoes is the latest free MNK*Shop group gift, which is really worth a scoop: this sheer, summery ruffle dress, i.e. girlish style executed to perfection. I'm also showing a fri.day hair (one of many I scooped recently) which has been jam-packed due to the crazy sale they are having there (the hairs I saw were $75L each). The entire freaking store is on sale, so every fashionista + their mother has been trying to get in. Erm, good luck. Heh.

Doubleheader Sunday

I've been obsessed with the latest I Ce Coco free skin gift lately + wanted to show you 2 different looks with it.
Diamonds + gems dressed up this first casual style, featuring the lush polka dot $1L bodysuit by Wave that's already been plastered all over the feeds. Check out the tres killer denim miniskirt I found to go with it (these feather waist attachments are both unusual + supercute). I also love how these Donna Flora gems come with a handy-dandy HUD to change the gem color! *mwuahs Squinternet Larnia*
This 2nd look features another Donna Flora creation that I've been meaning to blog forever: this spectacular "Jazzy" fur jacket, impeccably textured with subtle streaks of blue + caramel beige running thru the fur. It's kinda undeniably fierce. The glam red bow adds that li'l something extra too.
I finally scooped these Pixel Mode "Baby T" pumps that every fashionista in SL apparently owns +I must say that these are really some of the most spectacular pumps I've seen yet in SL. -- Let me repeat; these shoes are To. Die. Love the anklet socks version too.
Between the crazy good shading on these pumps + the many droolworthy colors, it was bye bye $L time today.
