What's happenin' Daddy-Os. Acid & Mala has an adorable polka-dot minidress on sale this weekend (each color is $100L each) that channels some serious '50s retro cool.
I added the free ruffle skirt group gift for some extra '50s hep style. -- Now, normally for proper '50s style, I'd do the whole schoolteacher glasses, cardigan poodle sweater thing, etc. but I preferred to pare down this look to be modern hawt. Some tiny pearl wristlets + a mini-choker were what I went with instead.
The new Lamb "Sleepyhead" tousled pixie hair that I can't seem to take off + that same Tres Blah skin that I'm now officially wearing to death again completed this innocent dollface look. It's what's buzzin', cuzzin'. (<--- taken from this '50s slang website which was hella funz to chortle at)

3 Slip Dresses + Pork Chop: The Plastik's "Bordello" + Hyper Culture's "Senorita"

I have a thing for minidresses. Kinda a big thing. Therefore I was way excited to see that one of my go-tos for smexeh minidresses, The Plastik, has an exquisite new slip dress out called the "Bordello," which of course I had to scoop in a couple of colors.
The "Bordello" is just scrumptious. I love you forever The Plastik for such superfine details: these lush, velvety scrolling textures; the fluid way that these patterns curl + wind sumptuously over the torso; the semi-faded lace skirt edging; and these rich color combos that you just wanna gobble up. I. Die.
I was also impressed with the superfine quality of Hyper Culture's Mix & Mingle Hunt gift and wanted to try another style from this store. One of their newest slip dresses, the "Senorita," instantly grabbed me for its naughty half-lingerie, half-dress design. The slip dress style is not the easiest thing to get right (i.e., the tendency is to overstep the sexy) but this dress absolutely nails it. The thick lace strips on the bodice are just-right-revealing + the effect of the darker black lace textures laid against the sheer black covering is just lovely.
The "Senorita" dress is striking on its own, but it also totally works as part of an ensemble. Here I paired it with one of my hands-down fave new tops, this sheer striped chiffon blouse from Pink Outfitters. See how the addition of this versatile top instantly changes this look into something demure and preppy-snooty? My sexy schoolteacher glasses + retro flapper girl hair just had to make an appearance for this outfit.
These shots were taken in-world at Le Chat Gris, an adorable cafe by creator Nikita Weymann. (Nikita's free "reading poufe" gift has been all over the blog circuit this week -- touch the group join sign on the wall to join the group for $0L + then the sign above to get the pretty cushion seat with reading animation -- but I think that her lovely cafe is the real gem). You totally feel transported to a New Orleans coffeehouse + there's a relaxed, homey feel that makes you want to linger. You can almost smell the java + cigarettes.
Nikita has built-in poses hidden around her cafe like little secrets waiting to be discovered. This pretty reading bench outside was just one example (hint: click the shadows).
Be sure to try the jam jar inside for some supercute sits. I did a whoopsie when my bootay slipped unexpectedly into the sticky jam here.
Gavin and I felt very lucky to be able to meet Pork Chop, Nikita's brand-new kitty. Isn't he a cutie patootie? Pork Chop blinked a lot and seemed quite innocent, but we sensed that he might be a troublemaker in the making. For example, Pork Chop refused to participate in our hairstyles debate and then we caught him giving Nikita's pet monkey the stink-eye (we couldn't tell whether he was jealous or maybe considering dinner).
Nikita also showed us a lovely garden down the road, which was just bursting with gorgeous country blooms. Gavin was inspired to try a gentlemanly pose here. Isn't he gallant?
I pretended that Gavin's T-shirt referred strictly to some hot chicken soup that just needed cooling.
