Tobacco Fall.

2 things always firmly put me in the mood for Fall: that oh-so-slight-but-unmistakeable brisk chill in the air + NYC Fashion Week, both of which in turn signal . . . boots 'n jeans weather. Warm, rich tobacco browns like this cropped leather jacket (new by creator Fae Eriksen for her Fishy Strawberry brand's Fall line) offers a casual, urban-ready style to smoothly transition from 1 season into the next.
And now a word about this particularly lovely skin: this delicate, pale yellow & blue eyeshadowed skin by Glam Affair (set off by these natural peach-brown lips) has got to be one of my hands-down fave skin palettes I've worn all year (the combo of this pastel buttery yellow + light sky blue simply opens up the face). I'm paired it with this just-so tousled new "Posy" style by Truth (in an auburn-brown shade, to set off this delicate makeup), added a pink blush + some of the new bright Ikon "Hope" eyes: now this is a face I could live in, seasons-round.

Speaking of lipstick, have you seen the newest "Romy" skin by Glam Affair? Happy Year of the Dragon!

Truth District has been mobbed ever since the 50% off sale was announced this weekend. The fact that many Truth hairs are on sale is reason enough to run over (you gotta nab 'em at the Truth District location for the sale price), including this week's brand-new "Alexis" double ponys updo, offering just my kind o' whimsical girlie style.
One truly remarkable aspect about SL is how multi-cultural our community is -- and how easily we can all embrace diversity, at least in our individual style. Many creators are honoring the Year of the Dragon with adorable Chinese New Year gifties, like these paper cutout framed pictures free by bbqq; today's look also celebrates red as the traditionally lucky color, from this free cherry-striped mesh dress to the new cerise bloom earmuffs by Boom (something about this rich cherry color so reminds me of the Beats headphones I keep seeing on hipster heads around Manhattan).
In other news, if you haven't rolled around in a messy pool of spilled liquid recently -- well, you just haven't been embracing your inner video vixen. *strums air guitar, flicks more tea in hair*
